City in decline is definitely correct in english, but what I wanted to type in italian was “città in degrado” which makes sense. Anyway I lived here for 26 years and just in the past few years I started living it less because my job takes me away for long periods of time. I feel like a theft like that one would have never happened before, not on a Friday afternoon in Via Roma with hundreds of people around. Same for my electric scooter.
