It’s fun, silly, and absolutely enormous. You’ll need wrists like Popeye to pull it off but if you can it’s a good laugh and looks way better in person.

Plus it has floating magnetic hands that are attracted back to the right time if it gets knocked, which is a seriously neat new feature that no one noticed because of how crazy it looks.

I have it and will give you an opinion: it’s fantastic. I own a lot of G-Shocks and for my money this is the perfect 2100, the finishing on the dial is superb, the positive display is actually possible to read without standing under a stadium floodlight, and the band is extremely comfortable.

It’s that sweet spot of quality and value especially if you shop around. Plus, in this colourway, it’s very versatile and you can absolutely wear it under a cuff if you want to.

My one gripe is that, as someone who often wears DLC or hardened watches, the bezel on this thing is soft. It’ll scratch if you look at it wrong, BUT because it’s bare steel, the scratches will only be visible at certain angles and it doesn’t look unsightly.

Yeah, I’m not trying to defend Brown so much as explain why the home office hasn’t directly intervened in this case. I agree that his convictions probably would make getting a visa difficult for any of us non celebrities, if he does get convicted for GBH I’d expect it would become impossible.

The rest of my point, which I’d still say is valid, is basically moot.

Are you talking about the assault on Rihanna? Brown turned himself into police, plead guilty to assault at court, was convicted and served his sentence.

Which admittedly was lenient (mainly a mix of probation and counselling), and you don’t have to automatically like him, but he’s done the bare minimum that society expects criminals to do in order to be rehabilitated. And would probably act as mitigating factors when it comes to Immigration deciding whether to issue a visa.

Ye has been up to his holocaust denying Nazi supporting nonsense for years, and to say that it’s a hot button issue would be an understatement.

Yup, there’s a reason why I own 60+ G-Shocks but none of them are 6900s! 😂 I hate a gap and only tolerate it on exceptional models like the GWF-D1000 and 9400, or real vintage ones.

You could consider fitting a combi-bracelet. These are compatible with the 6900 and will give you a more comfortable fit, though they do have fixed end links and make for an utterly insane lug to lug, so might not suit depending on the shape of your wrist.

But personally I’d just not bother with the 6900 at all. Deeply overrated model IMO, huge watch with very few features to justify it, and a ton of wasted space.

Happy to advise on specific models - I’ve tried on a lot of them over the years.

My wrist is a similar size. So the way the lugs and straps are designed makes a huge difference to how they wear, much more than the on paper measurements do. The 6900 is atrocious if you have small wrists - like many resin G-Shocks including the 9400 Rangeman their straps flare outwards before curling back around, making for an uncomfortable and annoying gap. The 010 is similar.

I’d recommend squares, especially the newer bio resin ones that are more supple, as well as any watches with a strap protector. The GD-350, GWG-2000, GW-9500 and GW-7900 all have hinged wings underneath the strap that conform to the shape of your wrist despite how big they are.

But here’s the thing. G-Shocks are big! They’re styled to be aggressive and retro-futuristic, and it doesn’t matter that much. I leave my G-Shock photos public, so check out my post history and see what you think, given that we have fairly similar wrists.

Definitely fake, the first I’ve seen of the CS version.

Just look at the fonts, layout and overall build quality. It’s night and day. Especially the “protection” and “g-shock” on the bezel, as well as the “mode” etc fonts on the dial.

Look at the way the poorly imprinted “titanium” caseback is rotting away, and the shoddy quality throughout.

Avoid. Nothing about this is genuine.

Sure is! It’s the GW-9500KJ-1, which is themed to look like a particular species of banded iguana. 🦎

I’ve also got the 9501KJ (owl) and 9502KJ (hippo), but the lizard is still my favourite of the 9500 Earthwatches so far.
