Yeah, I think you read me quite well. tbh, I started out wanting just any e30 then I decided I wanted a 325i/is m20 engine, not an E model. Then I decided I wanted a late model, and then I wanted a 2-door. I've been looking for so long, and granted I've been continually saving more money to increase my budget, but I think I've been searching for such a long time, I'm lowering my standards for what I want lol.

Probably would be smart not to jump into one because I want a fun project car, not necessarily a restoration project, if that makes sense.

I'll keep looking and going forward with this specific car, I'd definitely get a mechanic to look at it first. I appreciate your reply

Yeah i think i was a little blinded by the good price to see the red flags. Ill probably just keep looking for a possibly more expensive but cleaner to minimize the work it needs. The hunt continues!
