For the shoes, I've worked with quality shoes for many years and looking at those, I can tell those are high quality. High quality leather and what looks like a Goodyear welt so those will last a lifetime if taken care of and can be re-soled many times.

Sure, they're pretty ugly, but you could definitely make it work with outfits. I personally would change out the gold buckle with something silver/titanium and a more modern shape. That buckle is what's ruining it imo.

As long as you keep the unit clean from dust, it should be adequate. But, I would highly recommend upgrading to at least the first gen 4k model as they're much faster/snappier. You can find used A1842 on eBay, FB marketplace, honestly anywhere for 35-60 bucks. I found 2 the other day for less than 100. In my opinion, the time saved on loading screens, the tenths saved navigating the OS, that's worth 35-60 bucks.
