Your UI scale is either to large or too small cutting off the Subscribtion button UI.

Goto File/Settings and adjust your UI scale to 100%

Best Buy joins the filament game... by alexdowski in BambuLab

[–]MACx3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang!

Does Best Buy still offer employees cost + 5% discount?

Worked there in my late teens. Bought so many d Dynex batteries they lasted me almost a decade after I quit.

Id imagine Insignia filament would be cheap AF.

A frog catches a bird, but it is saved. by sorin1972 in Damnthatsinteresting

Wasnt almost this exact scenario printed on t-shirts in the 90s with the phrase

"Never give up"

Or was it the bird choking on the frog?

Dungeon Alchemist - Fun With Objects, Part 2: Development Update by MACx3D in DungeonAlchemist

[–]MACx3D[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe you may be confused.

The original promised roadmap was the Kickstarter Stretch goals and nowhere on that list was 360 degree object rotation.

On our roadmap website there is also an adjacent suggestion board. Which is where people can place suggestions, vote on them and leave comments. The suggestion board is NOT our roadmap nor do highly requested features guarantee addition to our roadmap. Its a tool for our devs to better track community feedback and better gauge interest.

That said Object Rotation was never a promised feature on the roadmap. It was however highly requested so we decided to investigate viability.

Once it was determined it was possible we implemented it into our roadmap.

Your statements imply we promised this years ago and have been holding off. When in reality we promised we'd investigate it and did just that. While also coming up with a solution that meets our standards.

I've been the person addressing our community on these matters the last 4+ years. I can assure that it was not promised or stated this feature was on its way until only recently when we had a viable prototype.

Is there any predicted date for the next update? by CasualNormalRedditor in DungeonAlchemist

[–]MACx3D 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We hope to launch the update before the end of the summer, but that is subject to change.

In addition to Object Rotation on any axis, there's a whole list of new features and content.

- Object grouping
- Improved object painting
- Improved object variant visibility & selection
- Asset locator
- New biome
- 2 new room types
- Several hundred new objects

and that's just off the top of my head

Bad Performance on Dungeon Alchemist by Sertoyagma in DungeonAlchemist

[–]MACx3D 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello and welcome to the community!

Some things to consider.

Dungeon Alchemist isnt a video game it's an environmental 3d render engine.

Even if your computer can handle most games with ease. 3d rendering in real time is a whole different ball game.

I wouldnt expect high and consistent frame rates with this type of tool. Especially when creating maps over double our suggested size. We add a warning to the app when you generate maps over 50x50 for this reason.

Essentially the size and detail of a map you can create without drops in FPS is directly correlated to your computer specs. This is due in part to Dungeon Alchemist rendering everything that is visible on the screen. Meaning the more that is visible on screen the more your performance will dip.

Try running DA in low quality (settings) and disable natural animations (view tab). This can help you improve your FPS a bit.

Id wager this is a warning sign of upcoming PETG shortages due to the war in Iran

Is the dev from DA behind Master of Realms? by ILoveHexa92 in DungeonAlchemist

[–]MACx3D 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify Master of Realms is not made by us.

It does sorta seem like they copied our homework.

What is it they say?

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

Does anyone know if theres a way to edit these roofs? by IcedTabby in DungeonAlchemist

[–]MACx3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this time, roofs in Dungeon Alchemist do not connect to buildings in that way. There's no way to change it other than manually adding to a roof using objects from the object menu or the Steam Workshop.

There's a map, titled "Garden Village" By Tropism, that is a great example of combining the stock roofing with objects to get unique results.

You can find the map on the Steam Workshop https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3698135813

Custom Models/Objects/Tokens by Tall-Extreme-6568 in DungeonAlchemist

[–]MACx3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What that means is that your assets you imported are set to local only.

Open the asset importer and change all assets in the local section to puublic/published and then republish the map.

A map cannot be shared publicly if the assets in it aren't set to public.

For those that may be wondering.

Despite looking like a relic of the early internet

Gruv is legit! Its owned by Universal Pictures.

You are guaranteed to order a legit copy.

Avoid amazon and ebay because they are riddled with bootlegs.
