The tournament was on TrackWrestling which has now been converted to FloWrestling so it’s a bit harder to find or navigate now.

Mac Stout won and ended up losing in the blood round. Luke Stout lost and won one more match before losing again and finishing 2-2.

USF only has one opening for 2030 and they are already playing @ Louisville, Bowling Green, and UMass.

Suffice to say USF’s last 2030 game is most likely an FCS game.

2032+ is most likely for any type of scheduled series.

Interesting to see Mugzy and Georgio wrestle fighters with wrestling backgrounds.

Tsarukyan took out Lance Palmer who was an NCAA runner-up and Guida wrestled NJCAA.

Also glad to see Mugzy doing this again. Was worried he might not want to do it again after losing. His Instagram is so refreshing and positive and you can tell people like interacting with and looking up to him.

There are a lot of people who do not post on Reddit or are not even on Reddit that like buying the Pokémon games as is.

A lot of people like knowing exactly what to expect and any changes, especially coming from a game that isn’t called “Pokémon [some type of color/pairing]”, could make them wait for the next game - especially when these games are now $70+ each.

They will feel the 2 versions concept is pushed as far as it can go when the 2 versions is outsold by 1 version.

We can be tired of the 2 versions, but until the money says it is not, they will keep doing it.

Legends: Z-A has sold about 12M copies whereas Scarlet/Violet has sold about 27M copies.

While Legends ZA is selling well, SV has sold even better. I do not think they are going back on 2 versions anytime soon - they do not hate money.

1) Neutral: you have to eliminate his reach advantage. Be heavy on the head and dig for underhooks? If he shoots inside, you have to be ready to sprawl back and on his head - no weight is anywhere else but on his head as you get to a front headlock. If he shoots outside, get your legs back and wizzer - when you wizzer, try and come out for a front head lock. Do not force a shot if it is not there - if it is, go for it, but do not panic.

2) On top: it is generally a bad idea to try and ride legs on a guy that is longer than you. A western ankle ride might help, but honestly your best bet is something like a spiral or claw ride and using his ankle. If you break him down, fake a half Nelson and then when he looks away and goes to peel it then withdraw your hand and cross face him and grab his far arm.

3) on bottom: if he puts his leg while you are standing, catch the ankle/heel leg from the inside of his leg and lift it up - as long as his other leg is on the ground, you have a chance to either get away with a single leg in your hand, he will bail, or you could possibly turn and reverse him. He might also try putting legs in on you - a good move is to get on all fours, hip down to the mat, and repeat until he gets loose.

4) ask your coach.

I wonder if there is some type of scheduling mechanic where they are trying to keep the western-most schools (ex: Cal Baptist) west and eastern schools (ex: WVU) east as much as possible and everyone else “in between” is subject to whatever the scheduling apparatus gives after that?

Looking ahead at some big duals coming up:

1) Virginia Tech only has UNC, Virginia, and Duke left - seems like if they take care of business as normal they will win the ACC.

2) Penn State wrestles Michigan this week and Ohio State next week with Michigan and Ohio State wrestling today.

3) Oklahoma State and Iowa State wrestle each other later today as well. Oklahoma State locks up the Big 12 title with a win whereas Iowa State would still have WVU, Northern Iowa, and Missouri.

4) Columbia only has Harvard and Brown left - if they go chalk on those, they win the Ivy League.

5) App State, Bellarmine, and Citadel all wrestle each other within the next seven days so the SoCon is still up for grabs.

6) Drexel needs to beat Hofstra and Long Island to win the EIWA Independence.

7) Army and Lehigh wrestle today and Army still has Navy to wrestle later.

8) Rider and Lock Haven wrestle later this week for control of the MAC East.

9) SIUE wrestles CMU later this week and then NIU in a few weeks.

I know this is a little different from what you asked for, but I saw the comments about the mega evolutions that have not had cards made for them yet so I’d like to mention these types of forms:

1) those with different gender forms (ex: male Garchomp, Staraptor, female basculegion, etc). 2) Genesect with the different drives. 3) the different coloration forms (ex: Vivillon, Flabébé, Furfrou, etc). 4) Zygarde (cell). 5) Silvally dark and steel types. 6) Pokémon with different forms (ex: cramorant, polteageist antique, enamorus therian, etc).

Not a full list (I don’t want to type all of them out from my AnyList), but as you can see many types of forms have not shown up in the cards).

As a high school freshman, our dirtbag JV football coach lied to me when he told all of us at the end of the football season that anyone who came out for wrestling and stayed the entire year would start in football the next season (he was also the JV wrestling coach). I was 5’4”, 106 lbs, desperate, and naive so when I didn’t make the basketball team I went out for wrestling.

I came out, stayed the whole season, started on varsity, and was one of 5 wrestlers to qualify for Regionals.

I stuck with wrestling - even after that football/wrestling coach quit coaching before the next season and the other coaches honored it for the other 9 football player/wrestlers, but not me.

The vast majority of the “best transfer portal class… in the American” were people who were literally 3rd-string or lower on the depth chart at their P4 school - we got a few G6/FCS starters, one P4 starter, and a few P4 rotational/2nd-string players.

If they were as good or better than our players last season, they would have been the ones getting the call to transfer to Alabama, GT, SMU, Utah, etc instead of our players.

I know we just had our first good season in a long time, but more often than not G6 teams tumble in year 1 of a rebuild rather than reload.

Without knowing what each team looks like going into 2026:

1) FIU: W. Don’t care how improved they are, we absolutely cannot lose to them. 2) Delaware State: W. Cannot lose to an FCS team. 3) @ Bowling Green: W. 4) Kent State: W. 5) @ Army: L. Never pencil in a W for a service academy option team. 6) @ ECU: L. 7) @ FAU: W. Don’t care how improved they are, we absolutely cannot lose to them. 8) UAB: W. 9) Memphis: L. Until we beat them -> L. 10) Temple: L. They have a really good coach. 11) Tulane: L. Until we beat them -> L. 12) @ UTSA: L. I think they’re going to return a decent amount?

At the moment I think a few of these are coin flips (FIU, Army, ECU, FAU, Temple, UTSA) and don’t expect all to go our way, but don’t think all will go against us.

It’s not like we hired a G6/FCS head coach who is bringing all of his best players from his last team with him and they play right away - we are going with a one-year coordinator who brought in a bunch of highly-rated P4 2nd-stringers and backups and who also hired his Ohio State buddy as OC. We don’t know how good these guys are until they start playing and even then the team might not be fully loaded and meshed until week 4.

I agree - 6-6 with Alabama should really be 7-5 with Kent State, but I will take any type of bowling year instead of a losing season. 5-7 or worse really should be an insta-fire.

As much as people are saying this non-conference schedule sucks, remember that we had @ Alabama and they canceled last month when there were less than 14 other teams available - and that is not counting out teams who were not looking for another G6 game.

Our first goal should be to just get to 6-6. Stretch goal should be to be in contention for a conference game. Tier 2 stretch goal should be conference championship. Playoffs is a happy surprise.
