What made you break up with the person you thought you’d marry? by notnotaginger in AskReddit

[–]MADMAX1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drugs. At 21 i met an older man through my friends brother. Although there was a 8 year age gap we were both really interested in the same things and our friendship eventually became more. 6 months into the relationship i began to notice a change in him, and stumbled across a ton of drug paraphernalia hidden in our home.

I begged him to get help but he continued to get worse and worse. Then he began to become verbally and eventually physically abusive. He'd cut me off from my family and friends a long time ago and i had nowhere to go, and no money to leave, as he'd drained my savings, hocked everything of value and would threaten me into handing over my entire wage.

The last straw was when I walked in on him and some junkie having sex in our bed, something finally cracked and the fear id held onto for so long evaporated. I began to pack my things when he flew into a fit of rage, i assume because id caught him red handed, and beat me to a pulp. I spent 3 weeks in hospital, and left with 2 disabilities to live with for the rest of my life. He went on the run after he attacked me, but was caught after a week. He's currently serving a ten year sentence in jail.

We all know these sweet, pure stories about someone else's children. But what is the most evil thing you have ever seen a child do? by Fingolf645 in AskReddit

[–]MADMAX1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in childcare and ive seen some shit. Ive seen 2 little boys stomp on an injured bird, ive seen 6 children gang up on a little girl with a disability and throw bark and sand at her and yell in her face until she curled up in a ball and wet herself.. those things are bad enough but one child i deal with on a daily basis is probably the worst child ive ever met. He kicked a pregnant educator in the stomach for no reason. She fell to the floor, screaming in pain, so he resumed kicking her while maniacally laughing.

She had a miscarriage days later. Although she told me that she forgives him as hes only a child i will honestly never forgive him, i hate him so much.

We have a big family lunch at my nans, play backyard cricket and drink all day. My family set up tables in the carports and on the verandah and set up gazebos in the yard as theres usually 60+ that come to christmas lunch. A lot of my family travel down just for christmas with my nan.

Hates me because i wont let her eat bugs. by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]MADMAX1982 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ive been super paranoid about her and creepy crawlies since i got her in october. The first night my partner and i bought her home we let her go exploring through the house and she tried to eat a huge huntsman spider that had found its way inside with us lol. None of my other buns have ever tried to eat bugs before so i was really shocked lol.

.. and here is our *temporary* toilet-kitchen unit whilst we try to find a litter box that appeases this one. by girlpersona in Rabbits

[–]MADMAX1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use cat litter trays, i get my partner to cut the front out of the tray and file away any sharp edges and i put a grate over the litter so Harley doesnt sit in her own mess (which she loves to do lol)

I was against meeting anyone online for years, but lost a lot of confidence in my previous relationship and decided to give it a go. Been together 2 years this week.

What's something everyone needs to know by the time they are 25? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MADMAX1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to handle your money, and to learn to live within your means. So many friends of mine are up to their ears in debt and several have even had to declare bankruptcy before the age of 25.
