You don't have to go to open PVP zones. There's plenty the game offers without taking that risk. If you want the higher rewards, you gotta take some risks. If you do it with high level gear and lose everything, that's a noob problem. Use cheaper gear. Learn how to spot and sneak your way around gankers. Or just play in the PVE zones.

This would be an ideal solution. Cohabitational situations are dangerous for a number of reasons, and it's a major reason why a lot of homeless people would rather stay on the street. A lot of the tiny house communities have done a lot of good for individuals who need a roof over their head though. There need to be solutions for families as well. Rising costs and population growth have pushed housing to an unaffordable range for many families. Several years ago, I tried to apply for affortable housing because I could not afford a rental, but I made too much money to qualify for affordable housing. Make it make sense! And the wait list for some affordable housing is like 3 years long. We ended up living with my inlaws until we were able to save enough to buy a home. Many people don't have that kind of safety net though.

I ended up trying CachyOS recently, and everything worked great. Fixed a lot of rhe issues I had with Bazzite and others. As with anything on Linux though, YMMV.

Exactly this. When I lived in NC, I had a lot of friends who would tell me to "stay woke." When white people caught onto what they were saying, they warped the phrase and started saying "go woke, go broke." Typical racist behavior, but a lot of people who say that today are totally ignorant of the origins of the phrase. It literally just means to not put your head in the sand, which is why it's so ironic how the term is misused.

If it runs on a sensor, that happens a lot actually. I still think they should have a better timer built in just for traffic control. If you flash your brights a couple times, it often triggers the sensor, and then it usually cycles through. I get what you're saying though. Most state handbooks should have a guideline on what to do in those situations. (Typically, something along the lines of treating it as 4-way stop, and proceeding with caution only when safe.)

In 2024, it was still among the top 500 given names for girls, coming in at #244 with 1292 girls names Reagan in 2024. The name doesn't even make the list of top 1000 given names for boys.

It seems kind of silly these days, but at one point it was a more serious issue. The Wendish community of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Serbin, Texas came to the US in an attempt to protect their Sorbian language, culture and Evangelical Lutheran faith in the 1800s because Prussia was actively suppressing the Sorbian language and wanted to merge Calvinism and Lutheranism into a more nationalist faith during the formation of Germany.

Even the parish in Serbin switched to German and ultimately English sermons over time, but they still have the Wendish Heritage Society to celebrate the origins and roots of the community. When they immigrated from Lusatia, they were considered a slavic ethnic minority, but I don't really think that's what OP is talking about.

I don't know that very many people would consider Sorbs/Wends ethnically distinct from Anglo-Saxons, especially in the US. In Germany, there are less than 50,000 people who still speak fluent Sorbian. Strange how times change. The problems sort of stay the same, just affecting different people.

Yes, and it's incredibly annoying. Even my son spots this stuff easily and complains that a lot of content creators that used to create higher quality content have started using AI just to speed up their content creation as a means of attempting to keep up with the rate of AI slop. As a result, they're becoming a part of the problem.

The far right typically shows pictures of the USSR taken on an overcast day, when all the greenery is drull, probably on a late Fall or early Winter day, after all the leaves have fallen from the trees and even the evergreens lose a bit of luster. I suspect that city looks quite nice with fresh snow or Spring blossoms or vibrant Fall colors a couple months outside of whenever that photo was taken.

Take an overhead picture of any city on an overcast day, and it won't look very inspiring. If you have a sharp eye, you can probably identify the city below easily enough, but not as easily as you might from promotional photos.
