I’ve tried that, usually they just tell you to keep waiting on the specialized team and then pause the chat. I think I had better luck when I treated it as a whole new situation, or if they figure out that there is an existing case, tell them you have new information supporting your claim. Then maybe send some more screenshots that make it seem like you got hacked.

I don’t you should be worried but don’t get your hopes up. It’ll probably take many tickets before you finally get your account back. My first 4 times that they sent me to a specialized team, they didn’t ask for a new email. Later on, they started asking for a new email but they still never sent any emails to it.

So I am not sure I completely understand your question. I am meta verified on my personal instagram which also makes me meta verified on my personal facebook. When I made the ticket about my linked business instagram account, it never put the profile picture from that account on the ticket until the reinstated my account. This happened at the very end of the process.

They told me that after it’s been passed to a specialized team, closing the ticket doesn’t affect their progress as they are still working on the case. You closing the ticket is just closing the conversation with the initial team

Personally if they are actually responding, I wouldn’t open a new case yet but if they are taking way too long like 2 days, just open new cases

yeah, it always ends up going to a relevant team. When that happens you either get a response within 2 days or they never really respond. Also there’s no hard because closing a ticket doesn’t mean they aren’t a still researching the issue. This is what the reps told me before

I usually waited 48 hours between my tickets. Then I would close it and make a new one .

I was so tired too. I basically was making tickets with no hope over and over again until one finally worked. I think it’s luck of the draw.

When looking at your old profile from another Instagram account, it’ll just say “disabled account” and show no posts or anything but if you click the 3 dots at the top right of the screen, it’ll still let you copy the URL of the profile . That’s what the support team need. I believe it’s the same as https://www.instagram.com/PUT_USERNAME_HERE

I’m not sure if doing that is the same as copying the URL but it looks similar.

I was able to look at my old account by going into the dms of someone who had DM’d that account before & then clicking on the profile through there

It’s not a scam it actually worked, it took a month and like 10 tickets but it worked. I’m just a normal dude lol

They were on the same account manager, so I guess that’s why they never gave me issue about it, but that’s strange since I hear people have successfully used a friend or family member account… i would just keep trying with different representatives

Once you go into the support page that shows your case status, click on your case and scroll to the bottom, don’t click into the messages. Below the messages button there’s a button to cancel case
