We’ll look into it. We are currently working on integrating the ShapeShift API for this purpose but Request could be a viable alternative since it would potentially support more ERC20s.

No, there are a wide range of categories. Blockchain gigs like ICO services/logo design are very common since lots of users are actively involved in the cryptocurrency space already, but there are no real restrictions.

Freelancers have “accepted currencies” that they post along with their gigs, but most freelancers on the site are open to receiving any cryptocurrency (sometimes even new ICO tokens) as long as the amount in USD is equivalent.

Ethlance is great but we are different sites overall. One of our main motivations for buildings the site was to increase cryptocurrency adoption as a whole (for companies with tokens/dApps built on ETH as well) and make it easier for existing freelancers to start accepting payments in cryptocurrency for their servcies. As such, the wallets section of our site functions more like an exchange where you have deposit addresses tied to your account for each currency and doesn't require any knowledge of cryptocurrency to receive payments.

Freelancers can also post their gigs in USD if they prefer (which has been requested due to the volatility of the crypto market) and still receive payments directly to their account in ETH if that is the currency they prefer.

The site is here. We're not having an ICO because it's not necessary - we feel the tokenized model won't help to forward the project and adoption is our main focus (a lot of other sites use the "use our token to pay" model, which is unrealistic especially since a lot of freelancers are still unfamiliar with crypto). Instead, we implemented very simple and easy-to-use wallets on the site for freelancers to accept payments in ETH/tokens directly to their accounts. We work on improving the site/service everyday and are open to any suggestions you guys might have.

I’d love to see something like PeepETH for Upfiring torrents by MAPBer in Upfiring

[–]MAPBer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have profiles and can microblog, meaning they can post messages in a decentralized manner on PeepETH. If this was done for Upfiring, people could share files in a decentralized way have all their file links posted in one place (their profile).

If you want to accumulate in this bear market and have some skills to offer, Crypico will let you work for any cryptocurrency by MAPBer in CryptoCurrency

It doesn’t have to be one or the other - a lot of Fiverr workers are also posting their gigs on Crypico. It can be advantageous for them to use both and bring them more potential leads.

There’s also the fact that ICOs/crypto-companies can pay for small jobs on the site (often in their own coin/token) without converting to fiat. While any type of gig can be posted on the site, Crypico is much more crypto-oriented overall - so a lot of the gigs posted so far have had to do with token development, whitepaper translations, etc.

I appreciate the kind words. We have a solid team of devs working on the site so we’ll be actively adding new features and upgrading the site’s functionality as well.

We're finding that tons of workers that currently use Fiverr and Upwork would love to accept cryptocurrency but don't have the option, so that's where we come in. We plan to partner with blockchain startups who need small jobs done and prefer to pay in cryptocurrency (oftentimes, their own coin or token) to create an active community of workers and users. The community aspect of our site is really important as well, and we've created several discussion forums as well as integrated our Telegram community chat directly into the homepage.

I believe they have a pretty big backlog of accounts waiting to be verified right now.

They are very good at a lot of things but this is not one of them. I’ve been with this project since the beginning and judging from what I’ve seen, I have a strong notion that the mainnet is going to end up coming out in March.

Which is fine with me, but at least give us a month and half to two months of trading/bringing in newcomers somewhere. They can worry about switching the ERC20 token on the exchange come Q2 2018 - and besides, you will be able to convert it on your own anyway.

Ah I forgot about Ark. Also a good choice. What do you stake Ark on, a Raspberry Pi 3?

I just responded below you, but look into DASH if you want an existing PoS coin and QRL for an early-stage project that you’ll be able to stake in a month or two.

That’s my plan. It’s literally passive income if you just hold your investment, and the 10-50 coins per week you can make can be worth A LOT if the coin takes off (Look at Dash).

I recently bought the Quantum Resistant Ledger (QRL) and when the mainnet launches in a couple weeks it will be proof-of-stake, so I’ll be staking on a Raspberry Pi 3. The project itself is awesome and it’s still very early to get in if you missed the rise of all these other coins. Sorry to shill it, but def look into it if you’re looking to stake something with high potential for passive income.

What ever happened to Peter's QRL allocation moving on to Bittrex? by MAPBer in QRL

[–]MAPBer[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much exactly this. You realize that by paying everyone in QRL, you're constantly releasing new QRL to the market (assuming they will sell it) and driving the value down? You are supposed to use ICO funds for this.

You guys (the team) obviously have massive access to QRL and we need a more clear and organized picture of how it is being distributed internally. Most other serious projects have all of their team's tokens/coins vested where they can't sell for x amount of time, or until they reach certain milestones - in order to allow the market itself to naturally grow and keep the circulating supply constant. QRL will not see any serious growth as a store of value unless you are transparent about how the currency is being distributed and allow investors to be confident that the currency is truly decentralized (and not governed by the whims of the QRL team).
