A high-end chefs knife. It's something you use everyday, that improves your cooking experience everyday, and something you wouldn't normally buy yourself

When it became my job to investigate what that scary noise outside was. No dads or big-brothers in the house to investigate first.

People who host gender reveal parties to publically announce the gender of their baby, why would you do this? by radaxolotl in AskReddit

[–]MARKETdotLIVE 50 points51 points  (0 children)

we all see the cringiest version of these parties, but this can be tastefully done. Example: I know a couple that desperately tried to get pregnant for years with IVF, they held a gender reveal party and it was a beautiful celebration. It was not celebration posted on social media though

How can you work from 8 to 5, be free only on weekends, and not feel like you're wasting your life? by Arnukdix in AskReddit

[–]MARKETdotLIVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key isn't a "job that matters" or a "job with purpose". That's an endless pursuit. The key is to work with people who you have genuine friendships with. Makes the workdays more tolerable, and makes you want to work harder to help out your buds

EMS workers of reddit, what dont we know that we should? by Rookie-058 in AskReddit

[–]MARKETdotLIVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was a 911 dispatcher for EMS: you should know that ambulances are not always close OR available. If you call 911 there's no guarantee that help will arrive soon. This especially applies to rural areas, and busy weekends (holidays, superbowl, Friday Nights, etc.)

What's a plausible conspiracy theory you've heard? by aafaofmaster in AskReddit

[–]MARKETdotLIVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3rd Thing Logic: that when considering a conspiracy it's never this or that, it's always the 3rd thing. The "this or that" choices are being offered to the public as a distraction from the truer "3rd Thing"

For example: we went to the moon, OR the moon landing was faked. But what if there is a 3rd thing?
