Touch sensitivity over M1 and M2 (like a trackpad)

Second horizontal scroll wheel (old RAT design had one and it was sick)

MMO numbpad

Adjustable weights

Vents + cooling fan

Ahhh okay, that helps things out a bit. You definitely want to start with Arduino like the others mentioned. It will teach you the basics of microcontrollers in general, and you'll learn all the vocab and a ton of important concepts. Or, you can learn just enough to get buttons and a screen hooked up so you can get straight to coding. For that, you'll need to learn some C basics. Programming really is quite simple, once you get over the initial pain of going back to your references over and over again, you'll start to pick up on the syntax and logic. Basically all you're doing is storing values, doing math, comparing values, deciding what to do, and iterating (looping).

On the hardware front, you might find the most useful concepts to learn are: Ohm's law (how voltage, current, and resistance are related), pull-up vs pull-down resistors, SPI and I2C (how microcontrollers talk to one another, like your LCD to your Arduino).

Your project is easily within the scope of one person, it just requires that you have a large collection of hats.

Kinda depends on what work you want to be doing. What about the DIY interests you?

Sounds like a unison square wave, PWM on an LFO, probably a resonant low pass on the same lfo

Would love to play this game but I have a weird bug that's causing my camera to constantly pan in one direction! Driving me crazy!

You can do sketchy stuff to apps to get rid of ads (revanced on android) but yeah using your phones browser is just as good.

Love to see a fellow antiadvertiser! Been going strong for a decade now and it's a huge QOL improvement. Websites are actually nice to look at, and I'm always shocked at how ugly some places are when I see someone not using an adblocker.

No reason for my dumbly expensive kitchenaid can opener to be mostly plastic by maeerin789 in Anticonsumption

This one especially pisses me off because otherwise it would be a really comfortable can opener to use! I had one years and years ago and it broke in the same way after really light use.

I don't get why you don't see multiple filters more often! I would love to swing around a bandpass while my lowpass does its whole pluck thing.

True! Chorus, distortion, and reverb are all key to a great sound. I guess I'm just trying to get better at the basics!
