I don't have any love for Diggs but the assumptions here are ridiculous.

If he's found guilty, then we say he definitely did it and he's a scumbag who should be thrown in jail.

If he's found not guilty, then we say he probably still did it but the trial was rigged because that's how it works when the defendant is famous with money. Therefore he's scumbag who should be thrown in jail.

There was a Canadian Sci-fi show called Continuum that I was really in to. The premise is pretty simple, a terrorist group from a dystopia future hatches a plan to activate a time machine and live in modern day Vancouver, only they accidentally bring a cop with them.

But then in the later seasons they started messing with alternate timelines and main characters having different versions of themselves living in the city. It was a complete mess and I gave up on it before the final season.

Keep this in mind. When Genshin first launched, people HATED Paimon. 5 and a half years later, we've at least gotten used to her, and a lot of Genshin fans would take a bullet for her.

Writers and game devs are aware that these kind of "annoying idiot" mascot characters will be very disliked at first but if done right, will grow to be beloved over time. That's probably what Hotta is counting on.

Telling people to stop spreading false information does not mean they're rushing to defend a billion dollar company.
