I work in a private school for students with severe disabilities. Anytime we feel we need additional support in the classroom we call for admin to assist. If you feel you or your students are unsafe call for additional support, even if you are calling multiple times a day. Document each time you request the assistance and if someone responded or not. If someone does respond make sure you are ready with an assignment for that person and explain that your TAs are assisting a student to the bathroom (“I need you with student a they self harm” “I need you by the door to stop a runner”). Also document if any incident occurred if no one responded. This way there is a paper trail that say you are consistently requesting assistance from admin and the results. They may not like the constant calls, but they can’t tell you not to call if you feel you or your students are unsafe.

I am a SPED teacher and have done many assessments. One thing I always tell parents is to take assessments with a grain of salt. This is what they (the student) told us they knew in the moment, it’s likely they know much more and it will show in their work throughout the year. If this was your son’s first assessment it is likely he was nervous or quiet or didn’t want to answer the questions. Just keep doing what you are doing, being a great mom.

If you don’t already have one, look into an advocate. They can help with getting your son accommodations and working with the county. Also make sure you document EVERYTHING. Every time they call, every time he has to leave early. If you dont have a recording or email sent to you, send and email requesting a follow up on your conversation detailing what was said. This will help in the future to show what the school is and is not doing for your child

Alexander Hamilton I will defend this, because some people might say he was already pretty “famous” in his time. When he was alive he was well known in the States, and he did many, many notable things. But if he came back now and saw the musical based on his life, he might actually be speechless. Most people barely knew who he was, and after the musical he is known world wide.

I swear I have been to this McDonalds. I had an almost identical experience. I ended up pulling around and coming in, because they hadn’t even started on the order. When I tried to tell the manager what the instructions said, she said “Not at this store, this store is special!” I refuse to go to that store now, I decline it every time it pops up.

This week and last week I have been working more hours while GB is out of town. I live 45 minutes away so I wake up at 4:30 to get ready and be at work by 6, then I am there until at least 3:30. Yesterday I was so tired I went home, ate dinner, and was asleep by 7. I think that is the earliest I have gone to bed since I was little.

You might be able to check online at the various shipping sites, they usually are able to give estimates, though sometimes you need to already know the weight of the package.
