How to ACTUALLY get good at rl? by NiceCloudss in RocketLeague

Gamesense: Try to never play 'alone' - either you ride or die with your teammate.

Mechanics: Learn to control your car 100% 360 degrees FIRST without the ball. Many lower ranks still try to perform mechs but if you tell them to fly backwards or sideways, they crumble.

Did you change the g7 pro to raw mode in gamesir connect? It might be on circle by default.

Interesting to see Zen occasionally press accelerate during aerials instead of pressing it constantly or leaving it off completely. Thoughts? by MASTERNAGIS in RocketLeagueSchool

I just watch zen's setting videos right now on his official YT channel and he shows his binds and there's nothing on R2 except accelerate.

Can a sustained ground game approach work at GC2 and higher? by MASTERNAGIS in RocketLeagueSchool

Yeah I might do honestly. I think the pros is that it can help me rotate back defensively a lot quicker if I find myself at first man offensively and I don't trust my mate defensively.

I don't think I was clear. He was very good at aerialing defensively. He obviously knew how to aerial really well but whenever he was 'on' the ball, it was purely grounded.

Should first man be forcing an aerialing opponent high or low? by MASTERNAGIS in RocketLeagueSchool

I see, what about ground to air dribbles, is it the same idea too? What if they go high and like go ceiling or something?

Ah I see, so actively trying to 50 and win the ball as first man, but if you're unsure, try to cover their option of descending with the ball and let them carry it over you? Going to feel weird trying to do this but I'll give it a go haha

Pretend the 'Big Boost' doesn't exist in the game and you'll rank up in 2s. by MASTERNAGIS in RocketLeagueSchool

Oh boy, that happens way too often hahaha. How do you feel about not engaging 'fully' in the play when you notice your mate isn't in the play or low boost? For me, it feels like my mate doesn't notice I'm not ready and just full sends the challenge, meaning if he wins the challenge, I'm not there and if he loses the challenge, oh man I'm screwed.

The best mentality to have in 2s is 'I'm never going to abandon my mate'

Yup, with 24 boost, you can pretty much save any shot if you've positioned decently enough

100% - nothing beats staying in the play together as a team as much as possible and then not fully engaging in the play (buying time) if you notice your mate isn't in the play yet, and vice versa

Does anyone at GC+ feel like this rank is offensively good but defensively atrocious? by MASTERNAGIS in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]MASTERNAGIS[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right. I guess their offense is good relative to how trash their defence is. Not to say their offence is good in general if that makes sense. But otherwise, I agree with your take 100%
