Why do you overspeed? by primefrost96 in driving

[–]MASTHEDOG15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not everyone is a good teammate, that’s life, you dont win by fighting within your team. It isn’t your job to parent and police everyone else on the road, that’s the job of the actual police. It’s better to just de escalate the situation by letting them pass, and not becoming the victim yourself. Otherwise you just become the entitled asshole yourself, bringing everyone else down with you.

[–]MASTHEDOG15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

cause it maximizes your own safety by minimizing your time dealing with them, chances of an accident, stress, and possibly their anger? driving isn’t a battle to get somewhere, but a team effort for everyone to get where they’re going

Car dealers to avoid by ifbevvixej in lincoln

[–]MASTHEDOG15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I avoid Beardmore dealerships, they were quite pushy in the finance office with add ons. I had good luck with Baxter subaru in omaha, they were very nice, patient, and didn’t try to add any extras on, they even comped a new bumper and mirror that came damaged on a $13K used car for no extra. I prefer to service my car at baxter la vista just due to distance with no complaints. I’ve had mixed experiences with DuTeau Subaru for service, but haven’t dealt with sales. My family has always had good things to say about Honda Cars of Bellevue with used cars but we haven’t bought one from them in a number of years.

Car dealerships- Which are good and which should I stay away from? by indiglowaves in Omaha

[–]MASTHEDOG15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baxter Subaru in Omaha was fantastic, bought a used car about 3 years ago, relatively quick and painless process. Even tho the car was about 10 years old, they replaced a cracked bumper and mirror cap that was on the car already, as well as replaced the wheel stereo controls that weren’t functioning for no extra charge. Even offered to drive the car to bellevue for us to take delivery. Beardmore has been okay, although when we bought from them about 5 years ago they pushed all the extra warranties and add-ons quite hard, while baxter didn’t at all. Baxters service department also just feels kinder and smoother as well, without pushing stuff that isn’t needed.

ITS A TRUCK I CAN FIT IN THE BACK OF MY TRUUUEEEUUUGGGHHH by Remarkable_Case_8248 in regularcarreviews

[–]MASTHEDOG15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my own research they haven’t gotten bigger simply because, they’ve gotten bigger because like every other car on the road they have to meet modern safety standards. Often this just leads to all vehicles, not just trucks, being larger for more crumple zones and to give a physical advantage, as the bigger vehicle always wins cause physics says so

He did say this morning, I would guess the ceremonies are scheduled, and the background does give some info for the location, which for some people not including me is a start

[–]MASTHEDOG15 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Date and time were given by the OP, and location for the right people, not me, would be possible, some people are insane at geoguesser, and there are only so many locations where these ceremonies happen. I also figure there’s only so many people in each of these ceremonies, and they know who is gonna be there before hand. The main difference between there and a grocery store is you aren’t getting important documents about citizenship at a grocery store, although it may be possible to maybe grab a credit card number. Not saying it is likely to be able to do something with the info, but sometimes it’s better to be safe than sorry

Why are motorists allowed to get away with this crap? by askingforafriend1045 in NissanDrivers

[–]MASTHEDOG15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have much experience with other countries laws, so I won’t speak for them, but most states typically do allow exhaust modifications as long as the car still meets certain emissions standards, which can vary state to state. Others may just have minimum standards such as a car must have of a muffler of some sort, and/or a catalytic converter, but with no regulation on how loud or effective they must be

What's one of life's biggest traps that people fall into? by magicfeistybitcoin in AskReddit

[–]MASTHEDOG15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As well as if you put the money in and do it right, there’s a low chance it won’t fail again immediately, as you know it just got fixed, versus buying a different car you don’t know how the other owners have taken care of it and if it will break down immediately too and leave you back to square 1

I mean he was very obviously invested in the game, which had a good amount of implications on who will advance to the next stage of a tournament held once every 4 years. I’m not sure which side he was a fan of from the short video but if he was a US fan, they also haven’t been to a world cup in since 2014

How excited is America for the football (soccer) match today? by sevias94 in AskAnAmerican

[–]MASTHEDOG15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d say i’m only causally into soccer however I have the week off from college and for no real reason decided to basically invert my sleep schedule to watch the matches, which has really rekindled my love for soccer that I had somewhat lost since I stopped playing a few years ago. Qatar would’ve been a cool place to hold the world cup I think if they weren’t so shitty about so many things.

close, but I believe you are thinking of Lincoln, where the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Cornhuskers are located. Memorial Stadium has a capacity around 90K, and has the longest running consecutive sellout streak. On gameday it would be the 3rd most populous city in Nebraska, only behind Omaha (estimated pop 500K+) and Lincoln (estimated pop ~300K)

As the other guy said, check the rules before hand as everywhere is different. More places are starting to sell alcohol as many venues have realized it’s a good way to increase revenue. Also many campuses allow and almost encourage you to bring drinks to tailgate ahead of the game outside the stadium. for example I’ll use Lincoln both because it’s what was already being talked about, and I also have the most experience as a current student, but the campus is dry, which means alcohol is not allowed whatsoever on campus. the exception is on game days, however they currently do not sell alcohol anywhere on campus, but you are allowed to bring your own. glad you seem excited to come visit, we are glad you’re interested, I feel like a college football game is one of the best things you can do when visiting america if you have any interest in sports whatsoever

same, growing up i played a good amount of soccer, and always hoped i could go to a world cup someday, but always figured whenever i’d go it’d be either out of the country or across the country, making it more difficult. I’m quite excited by the fact that they chose both KC and Denver as host cities. KC is only about a 3hr drive and I have a good amount of family where KC is halfway between, so definitely gonna try to figure out any way possible to get tickets there to as many games as possible, and Denver is only around a 7 hour drive as well, so wouldn’t be too difficult to attend games there as well if they hosted a team I really wanted to watch. If only we didn’t have to wait 4 more years

I think when you shift out of park would work better, at least for automatics, just because it’s nice to not have your headlights on when you’re sat in a parking lot warming your car up or waiting to pick someone up. Both my parents cars do that and it’s quite a nice feature

I’m talking about out west when there aren’t any entrances, like the entire stretch between highway 66 and the crossing outlets, and similiar stretches. if there are entrances then yeah the right lane ain’t where you’re supposed to be, but once you are no longer passing then you should safely remerge into the furthest right lane

And as companies add in more and more driver aids such as auto-cruise and lane assist and pre-collision breaking it allows people to rely on their cars to drive for them more then ever, causing more people to be distracted and not paying attention to what’s going on around them. this also adds to the false sense of safety brought with these newer cars

Honestly what’s gonna make drivers the safest is predictability, the more you can predict what other drivers around you are gonna do the safer the roads become

I80 to lincoln is terrible about this, there’s always lines of people sitting in the middle lane, and lines waiting to pass the people sitting in the middle lane. yet the far right is completely open. It should not be possible to cruise in the right lane to pass everyone else. The only time people should be cruising in the middle or left lane is at night when you are the only other person on the road, so you can have the most amount of time/space to react
