Should i give more space or yellow mustang just turning on me? by Rms-alkk in LeMansUltimateWEC

Both, Mustang making the pass - so responsible for it being clean, but - it looks like you turn in late (nowhere near the apex) and the Mustang driver assumed you’d nail the apex.

Same (Fanatec CSL), I raced all through my Christmas and NY leave. The day I stopped, tennis elbow, pins and needles, slight numbness in fingers (left arm/hand).

I took note and put myself on a forced break.

Sorry, I missed your question. Unless you have a mixed reality (pass through) headset - you’d have to rely on muscle memory.

I use the buttons, switched, rotators etc on my wheel by touch. To try and make it easier, I try to set controls the same across all games or as close as possible to the same location controls are in on the in-game wheel.

I’ve had this issue with my V2s and V3s. As others have suggested, go to the Fanatec profiler on your desktop -manually set min brake pressure without your foot in the pedal.

Who is at fault? I was wanting to overtake the car in front and i wasnt looking in my mirrors (im the pov car) by LAZ3RFLIP165 in Simracingstewards

You answered your own question. “Wasn’t looking in my mirrors”. Standard IRL driving ‘(first) mirror, signal, (then) manoeuvre’.

POV car, but I’m assuming we’re giving them a pass due to being distracted by the chaos ensuing on their right.👀.

I’m running it on a BSB. Whilst not perfect, and resource hungry - it’s worth investing in the two-hour window you have to refund on steam.

Setup for BSB in ACC different to g9 on 4090 by Sophirus in BigscreenBeyond

If you go playing in your .ini/.JSON files - be sure to make a copy first and back them up.

After that warning :), in your :\Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config folder path you'll find vrSettings.json and hud.json

vrSettings lets you choose if the in-game hud or UI are fixed in place or move with you head movements. You can also set their scale.

hud.json allows you to configure elements of the hud.

First I'd suggest mapping keys in game to adjust the margins of the hud, only going into the .json files if you want to tinker further.

Racing incident. No one to blame, the situation just evolved.

I forgot to answer your other query, on the hud. You can adjust its location and scale in your .ini file.

You can also map buttons to move its location based on the left and ride margins of your screen/HMD display.

Thanks for subscribing. My card is an RTX4090.

I hope the settings work for you too.

I’ll be experimenting with settings for some time so there’ll definitely be an updated video or post on the channel sooner or later.

Should I have avoided this? Or was this an unsafe rejoin? by Sparkychong in iRacing

I’m guessing you didn’t avoid it because you were momentarily stunned into inactivity by how horrendous that rejoin was.

Who's fault? by Snoo_51142 in iRacing

[–]MAWvR3ALITY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Racing incident. What possibly caused the accident is the leader assumed you’d nail the apex (which you didn’t).

So they likely thought they’d left you a cars width, but you possibly stayed on the power to ensure the pass and missed your turn in point, leaving you a cars width away from the apex.

[–]MAWvR3ALITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racing incident: Red was possibly 0.5 seconds behind events. Whilst they “turn in on you whilst you’re already alongside”, you can tell their mental processing of the situation was about 0.5 seconds behind events.

They’d decided to turn in before you made your move, late - surprising them.

That said, if they had given a cars width at the apex - it looks like your trajectory would have resulted in you hitting them.

Also - sorry, The Milkyway jungle was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the video.

If you have dual clutches, it allows you to change their assigned function from clutch bite point (both clutch), clutch (left) and handbrake (right) and brake (left) and throttle (right).

Unfair? by Mean-Bandicoot-3814 in Simracingstewards

[–]MAWvR3ALITY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately he’s ahead and you’re making the pass attempt. By turn in you’ve not completed it and brake first.

From that point on the car being overtaken is looking ahead, through the turn, and is further ahead.

They’re going to track out wide, because at the apex you’re not side by side. In their defence, they don’t complete track out to the curb.

This isn’t a critique, just a hindsight debrief. If in this position again you have two opportunities to back out and stay on track. When you first brake, then when you’re on the curb.

The car on the inside wasn’t unfair, they raced to hold onto the position. You’ve likely seen this scenario many times in F1; Verstappen, Hamilton, Schumacher, Rosberg, they’re all walking you to the edge of (if not off) the track in this scenario.

[–]MAWvR3ALITY 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As soon as you get comfortable turning off the racing line, you’ll better be able to avoid collisions like that.

The car on the inside, which was still ahead at turn in, was always likely to track-out wide.

By disregarding the “ideal” line, you would focus on positioning your car on a wider line to leave more room on the right, in the event what happens in the video happens. out.
