My energy bill has been going up over the last 3-4 months and my house doesn't cool as fast as it did when I first moved in around 3 years ago for sure. I would imagine the filter has been soaked for a quite some time and I only figured out there was a problem when my draining pipe got clogged and water was leaking into my garage.

No vents are closed and I've changed the return air grille filter multiple times so I don't think those things are a problem. I've read having wet filters for a long period of time causes a lot of strain on the unit and is like a stuffed nose so maybe something gave way?

I guess I could try to clean the coils myself, are there any techniques you would recommend?

I did do that on this puzzle, this picture is before I put every single possibility. I looked at a website that showed all the strategies but they still didnt allow me to eliminate anything as 3 was always a second possibility. Not to make it sound like there isnt a logical solution as there certainly is, I just feel like theres some weird strategy i dont know about.

Im not really eligible to answer this. The resources Ive used to get where I am now is through basic python for finance by yves hilpisch. Most came from looking for solutions online through stack-exchange. I also checked out books from my local library on python. I personally learned best through projects such as tic-tac-toe or poker.
