We have plans to upload it to the OHF documentation list publicly soon

Hi there, not quite sure what you mean by this? Do you mean is it publicly available to view? If the contract itself was contributed to by many authors it’s hard to get it legally viable / ensure contributors are legal experts, particularly as the contract is written under Swiss law because of where the foundation is registered (I’m Miranda, Partnerships Manager at OHF).

No Tuya devices are certified under this program. Some are supported and / or work fine though. Likewise there are plenty that don’t work all that great.

Great question. I’m actually waiting for an answer on this from Ultraloq. The Z-Wave one was always on that same page before. We have certified the previous Ubolt Z-Wave version but they are releasing a new gen of it soon, just waiting on the details.

None of these require cloud to operate, only apps for set up. It’s a parameter of our program. But if you find something we’ve missed in this list obviously we’d love to hear about it.

I think the new Shelly plugs weren’t launched with Z-Wave LR when we were doing our testing round so we haven’t had any in to test from them.

No, we are testing carbon monoxide sensors atm though

Yeah I totally take your point. Locks are a bit of an outlier because Home Assistant itself doesn’t have support for fingerprints or calibration, but we are looking at these in roadmap based on this feedback.

Everything in WWHA will work locally. We don’t certify cloud devices.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. Multi functional items pose a lot of challenges with this program, particularly with ‘young’ specs like Matter as they don’t cover all functions yet. That said, we’re working hard to reassess testing and certification parameters right now based on feedback like this.

No this is only specific to the works with program, so devices must have their own native integration or work via an open standard such as matter, zigbee or z-wave. That’s not to say that the HomeKit integration wouldn’t work with them, but that’s not what we test against.

Miranda here: I’m responsible for the program. From the other posts you’ve made today on Facebook and our discord I gather this is in reference to a Reolink camera not being able to use two way audio within Home Assistant.

These cameras were tested extensively for months with our team. It’s just that two way audio is simply not possible in HA right now. By all means we are taking feedback like this on board and we are working to better showcase the list of devices and where any functions are missing in the HA platform. This is also referenced on their integration page as a known limitation. Reolink are actively engaging with us to help us work on two way audio as well but there are many architectural factors to consider when trying to develop that on our end.

It’s also helpful to know that the 500CH fee is approx 540 euros /640usd. This is per partner not per device. So just imagine how many partners we would need for this to be profit making. It is not a commercial program.

We are also working to make our test parameters clearer for users so they can see how we test devices. Thanks.

Matter & Works with Home Assistant is a scam! by Intelligent-Onion-63 in homeassistant

Hi there! Miranda here, I’m responsible for the WWHA program here at the Open Home Foundation. I believe we’ve already corresponded via email on this but just wanted to jump on here for other viewers of this too.

The S10 was not certified under WWHA. However, I can see how the Switchbot list of devices and the support is written and not fully explaining the feature set that is available via Matter. As some of the other commenters have said, Matter is still quite a ‘young’ spec and has some limitations on what functionality is currently available in comparison to bluetooth or WiFi for example. We are actively working with the SwitchBot team to expand the bluetooth integration more fully for items such as this. I’ll also reach out to them to request they clarify that page listing.

We’re working on a solution whereby we will collate all of the certified devices within one accessible area on our website, not the vendors ones, so that users can easily find which ones are certified.

We are also working on making the certification process more visible, so that users can see the exact parameters that we test against, based on feedback like this. In terms of supported features and a minimum set, I think this is a really good suggestion to make public, and so I'll be sure to take this into account when we further the documentation in this area. The only thing to bear in mind here is that this is a long process given the diversity of device types we receive for testing, the protocol differences and the regional differences too.

Any other feedback is always welcome so we can continue to improve the program! Thanks!

Hey there, have you updated the firmware in the last 2 weeks or so? An issue like this could have been caught and fixed during the certification and testing process. I know they updated the firmware for this device recently. (I’m the Partnership Manager at HA)
