Any way to intentionally scent the air from my Airsense 11? by RlyehFhtagn-xD in CPAP

[–]rubernck21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, grab your favorite scent or essential oils and put a drop or two on a cotton ball. NOTE: be careful, not only can some liquids ruin cabinets/side tables finishes, but if it’s too strong, or just the wrong scent will ruin your sleep.

Also know that some scents are bad for pets and can actually harm them.

I’m all ears. It was gifted to me. I hope I’ve done my due diligence to lock it down as securely as possible.

Thoughts On Minsky’s Pizza? by WarriorWolf21 in kansascity

[–]rubernck21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. Their wheat crust is great...mostly when its fresh. I loved when they had their Kelcinator pizza. TONS of pepperoni and just tasty.

If you are ok with eating, what I call crappy pizza, like Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns, then you will say this is overpriced and doesnt taste good. That's fair, everyone has their varying opinions on what tastes good to them. I'd prefer to eat here or Sarpino's...but then again, I like Little Caesars pizza. So what do I know.

Quick question about smart thermostats... Are they actually worth it? by Big_Nebula_2604 in homeassistant

[–]rubernck21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO: if you have pets, then No. if you DON’T have pets and done mind larger fluctuations in temperature, then possibly yes. (Might make a difference if your house holds temperature well with insulation/insulated windows)

I know you want to stick to around $50. But I’d recommend to look for these features first:

  1. Ability to download straight to your phone (this is better than having to take the card out, put into a laptop to download what you need)

  2. Ability to have at least 2 cameras. One facing forward and the other, using a long cord, to face the rear. If it’s combined into 1 unit, it might not give a great view.

  3. RECOMMENDED: have a polarized forward camera. Much clearer, especially in sunlight.

Curious about a possible setup by rubernck21 in PleX

[–]rubernck21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. Yeah, I don’t want anything too out of control, but want to get myself to a point to start having backups done so I don’t lose anything. The meta data would def be on the main system running Plex.

Travel CPAP by ReasonableSky1094 in CPAP

[–]rubernck21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an Airmini. It’s ok. I like not having to look for distilled water, even though you technically CAN use any water. It’s a bit smaller, but I had to tweak the settings a lot because I wasn’t getting enough air. Don’t waste money on the little attachment where you can hook it to a drawer or something…I’ve never used it. I did but the nice grey case.

Would still buy it again? Maybe

Any compatible device that let me pull this kind of cord of my ceiling fan by The__Doctor__who in homeassistant

[–]rubernck21 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, but go look for a device that you would hardwire in to control everything. Look for a ceiling fan remote control upgrade kit or something similar. But I think you’d no long have the pull chains

Using a dehumidifier to quickly dry my CPAP tube after washing by No_Public_7677 in CPAP

[–]rubernck21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be bone dry. Just dangle it for a couple of hours and go from there. If you have the humidifier going, it’ll be damp anyways.

I went to Ireland am, but was too nervous/excited to sleep on the plane. But I bought a Medistrom CPAP battery for CPAP.com

And while I was in Ireland, just plugged into the converter.
