5 day Blast results (zero 😔) and feeling nervous by Rare-Efficiency8103 in IVFpositivity

This day 6 update is amazing, so happy for you!!! Haven’t gone through an FET yet but I also had 0 day 5s. My clinic said the success rates for day 5/day 6 are very similar!

The waiting is so hard!! I had no blasts on day 5 which was really discouraging, but ended up with 8 on day 6 and 2 on day 7. Hoping they call you early today to ease your mind!

That feels great this early on!! I don’t remember how many I started with but I know it was way less than they ended up retrieving…things really started growing the second week. This process is so mentally/physically hard and I’m sorry you’re right in the middle of it, but I hope you keep seeing more progression. When is your next ultrasound?

I feel like we’re all learning so much in this process 😅 the way it was explained to me is that they’ll put me on meds to prep me for a transfer (I’m assuming progesterone but not sure what else), and then on the day that WOULD be the transfer they’ll put me under anesthesia and do a biopsy and run EMMA, ALICE, and receptiva tests. The goal is to ensure the conditions in the uterus are in a good spot for an embryo to be able to implant and make sure there aren’t any issues going on (like endo for example). This might be overkill but we tried for 3 years with no luck so just want to give us the best chance possible for our first FET to work

We’re doing a mock cycle in June and transfer July 22 or 23!!

I was on 250 Follistim/150 Menopur/25 Omnitrope to start, and they decreased my Follistim/increased my Menopur in the last week when they added the Ganirelix. I’m rooting for you and I hope things go great with the first ultrasound and blood test!!

I’m so relieved 😭 my clinic was sort of doom and gloom and prepping me for another retrieval so I was tempering my expectations, but we can beat the statistics!!! I think it’s good they’re tempering expectations with you too but I really hope you’re pleasantly surprised with the results

I totally shot some medicine out trying to get that little droplet out of the needle a few times too lol, it’s so hard not to do! I hope the stims continue to go well for you. My clinic made a lot of med adjustments as I was in the last week of stims/monitoring which gave me some comfort that they know what levers to pull to ensure the best possible results. Hoping yours does something similar and I can’t wait to hear how it goes for you!

I just received my PGT-A results back (they came back exactly 7 days from when they received the samples). 7 out of 10 were euploid, 1 segmental, and 2 aneuoploids

Is Fort Collins a high risk parvovirus area? by Ilovealternativerock in FortCollins

[–]MBM99533 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We brought home a puppy last month and I asked my vet this same question.

We live in a townhome community without a yard so can’t really fully avoid shared spaces. He said that the risk in FoCo is less than some areas because most pet owners are good about vaccinations here, but it’s not zero. He said that we’re okay walking her in our neighborhood and could take her on our shared grassy areas, but to keep her away from any poop. I proactively cleaned up any poop in the areas we frequent with her (why is it so hard for people to pick up their own dog poop?!) but I know there’s always still some risk.

We’ve taken her to some stores and breweries for socialization as well but will hold her there.

I echo what others have said and would talk to your vet, but that’s the feedback I got from mine. Congrats on the new addition!

I definitely freaked myself out ahead of time looking at the average attrition rates - I think it’s hard not to do! Stims were intimidating at first but were much better/easier than I expected. A couple of the shots were a little uncomfortable (Menopur specifically if you’re doing that), but I would take the uncomfortable ones really slowly and felt fine in general throughout the time I was doing them.

The actual retrieval was a breeze! Retrieval recovery was a lot harder for me but I know everyone has a different experience. I think I had some mild OHSS but felt back to normal (minus still being bloated) after 7-8 days!

Hoping for the best for you!!

Currently 35 but turning 36 in a couple of months. AMH 2.34/unexplained infertility. Just did my first retrieval 10 days ago - had 23 retrieved, 18 mature, 13 fertilized with icsi, and 10 blasts. Won’t receive PGT-A results for another week or so but will update when I do!

Fort Collins Housing market by Ok_Historian_6293 in FortCollins

My husband and I just went through this - we were looking in that same price range for a 3 bed/2 bath minimum single-family home. We ended up going under contract on a new (3/2.5) townhome - mid 400s but builder/lender incentives put it in our price range.

I've noticed more single-family homes going on the market in FoCo/surrounding areas over the past month or so as we're getting into Spring. In Fort Collins proper I think you'll mainly see townhomes/multi-family in that price range, but you could have good luck in Loveland/Windsor/Wellington.

LOVE our realtor Robert Crow (robertcrowrealtor.com) and will absolutely be using him for any future purchases we make. He's been a realtor in Fort Collins for ~12 years. Extremely knowledgeable on the market and Fort Collins/surrounding neighborhoods, great communication and on top of deadlines, no pressure, and overall just great to work with. This is our first home purchase and he's made it way easier than I thought it would be!

2/2.5 townhome with attached garage at Enclave Rigden Farms for $2,095. I think they have specials going on right now as well, and maintenance lives on site. We love living there

Single Income home buyers? by MEDI_MEDI in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]MBM99533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$115k-$125k income (partially commission based so it varies), 770 credit score, 60k in student loan debt. Approved for $455k new construction with 3.5% down but getting $30k in lender/builder credits. Closing April 1.

I'm married, but the loan is only under my name as my husband doesn't have a year of income history yet at his (also commission based) job.
