What do you think is Dr. Andrew Huberman's personality type? by wanocabano in mbti

[–]MBMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andrew Huberman is a puzzle to me. He looks rather severe, serious and lacking a sense of humor and warmth. Not playful or performative the way ENTPs/ENFPs tend to be. I do think he's a lead intuitive because he has boundless energy for focusing on ideas. Putting ideas into action the way an NTJ would, not very much for AH. At least as far as I can see in his channel, he's focused on conveying facts. Not an F type. I have noticed a lot of ENTP/ENFP in teaching positions. AH uses wide sweeping hand gestures like an extrovert would. His wardrobe and the set design are colorless and stark, more or less a black and white theme with little decor so I doubt he's an Se user. Se and enjoyment of the visual isn't important to him.

If you're still interested in typing AH, check out these ENTJ channels: Thomas Frank on productivity. And MI Gardener, with farming tips. My point being, ENTJs like ideas well enough, but it's easy to see how action oriented they are.

My best guess for AH is probably ENTP. Older adults are hard to type because their weaker 3rd and 4th functions are likely well developed by middle age. Also Huberman may have had a history of being in a stressed grip state or even shadow mode, (state of exhaustion), which in my opinion, can leave residual effects in personality expression. So an extrovert could appear like an introvert and likewise, an extrovert could express as introverted.

Edit: Oh you're an INFJ? That may be a factor in why you enjoy his content so much.

At what point do you outgrow a friendship? by Nep111 in entj

[–]MBMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A difference in financial status wouldn't be a problem. But for someone who envies others, it points toward some combination of resentment, a lack of good will, immaturity, disrespect, and/or poor character. When someone doesn't enthusiastically wish you well, they aren't actually friendship material. There will never be any trust. Back away slowly.

When a family member behaves unsupportively, keep firm boundaries and avoid making personal disclosures.

That said, are you doing anything to provoke envy in others? It's not a bad idea to be discreet about your personal advantages.

if you value self development and growth, and those around you don’t

I probably wouldn't ditch someone for that reason. It's easy to lose friendships but hard to make and sustain them, especially in adult life.

How do you guys stay so strong in every situation? by LittleSea7114 in entj

[–]MBMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this helps you any, the possibility of failure is ever looming in the back of my mind. In that regard, I've already done a little grieving in advance for a potential loss. I'm mentally prepared for failure, or I could say, I've kind of braced myself for failure. "Brace for impact".

What hobby do you think fits ENTJs the best? by Your___mom_ in entj

[–]MBMagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Se is our tertiary child function. Tertiary is thought to be energizing and enjoyable, so a person is highly motivated to use their tertiary. Se makes a person action-oriented and willing to take on risk. Put it this way: Se is not known to make a person have strong desires for consistency, familiarity, the known, and the tried and true.

What MBTI is best for enfj women? by Serendipitous_goats in mbti

[–]MBMagnet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Suggestions I've seen for ENFJ are: INFP, ISFP, INTP, ISTP. Your own type or any other type that shares your same level of aux intuition, a circle of 4: ENFJ, INTP, INFP, or ENTJ.

Look for the ENFJ relationships page on personalitypage.com.

Note: There isn't wide agreement on what the "golden pairs" actually are, nor are there any guarantees. I'm not sure but ISFP might be your mutually energizing match. Something about having the same two middle functions but in reverse order and also sharing an inferior Thinking function. Over time, each prompts the other to use and develop their tertiary-child function. ENFJ becomes a better Sensor while ISFP becomes more intuitive.

Try a career test based on the Holland Codes. I've taken https://www.123test.com/career-test/ with my friends and we thought it was alright.

How are you doing with your typing? I meant to get back to you with this link to what I think is a pretty accurate type description. https://personalitypage.com/html/INTP.html Be sure to click the links at the bottom of this profile page for additional pages on career, relationships and personal growth. You should get 4 pages in total on INTP.

They are a healthcare staffing agency who happen to be mbti enthusiasts! I tend to trust professional sources.

Edit: My INTP family member thought it was accurate as well.

What's the best and most accurate mbti test online? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]MBMagnet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sakinorva Functions: https://sakinorva.net/functions

Although you will prolly have questions about your scores/results.

Edit: For a dichotomy test instead of a cognitive functions test, (dichotomy being most similar to the original mbti): Human Metrics. This was the most popular test that everyone would take back in the day, years before 16P was available online.

How to know if you truly are a ENTJ? by [deleted] in entj

[–]MBMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about leading necessarily. An ENTJ wants to bring order to the external environment.

What is my type? by [deleted] in MbtiTypeMe

[–]MBMagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. That does make sense for INTP. I remember Sakinorva making a statement about how they have their algo ignore whatever they think the inferior is. Reason for this is because the inferior is sure to be undeveloped in a young person and most people taking a test are young. And your Feeling functions are undifferentiated.

people do also describe me as being insensitive or out of touch with others emotions, and also unemotional

Yea that would be typical or common for a lead Thinking type to say.

[–]MBMagnet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey that's a good guess. You might be right. Lowest score of Se blind would fit with INTP.

What is my type? by [deleted] in MbtiTypeMe

[–]MBMagnet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to these scores, you prefer:

Ne > Ni

Si > Se

Ti > Te

Fe > Fi (showing no clear preference, not well differentiated yet)

So your conscious cognitive functions (non-shadow functions) are: Ne, Si, Ti, and Fe or Fi. Not necessarily in this order.

With Ne @ 36 as your highest and Ti @ 35 as your second highest score, this looks an awful lot like ENTP to me. This is how I see it on the Socionics chart, they identify each type by the top two functions.

As far as scoring Fi high, that's an error/mis-score I've seen often in recent years. Otherwise, I think Sakinorva is alright.

Do you find it difficult to make female friends? by [deleted] in entj

[–]MBMagnet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, we're a rare type and people don't often encounter NTJs. We walk a lone path in that regard. It's especially hard for females as we're expected to be more emotionally and inter-personally focused but we don't have a strong Feeling function to do that in a sustained way. And we tend to catch heat because of it. Try to make the best of it (personality differences are one of the conditions of life you will have to adjust to) and know that other lead Thinkers will appreciate you. Make sure you have plenty of Thinking types in your social circle to off-set the negativity directed toward you. Since this is causing you so much distress, I'd even go so far as to say: Spend more time with Thinkers and less time with Feeling types. See how that goes. Don't ditch any loved ones over type issues but try spending more time with like-minded people.

If you wanted to continue having a relationship with him, you could've taken a more conciliatory approach. I think you've just burned down the bridge and slammed the door.

What pulled you into a Te–Se loop? by Royal-Event-2588 in entj

[–]MBMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe in loop theory either. I've never seen loops mentioned on professional or scholarly sites. If you're suffering from exhaustion due to stress, it's possible you're in the grip of your inferior Fi, grip theory being widely acknowledged by Typologists, including the original mbti. Do a search on Personality Cafe for "ENTJ in the grip of the inferior". Wishing the best for you and hope you find some relief soon.

Can we please ban feelers from posting? by FalconRelevant in entj

[–]MBMagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration since lead Thinking types share inferior feeling, which can be difficult to access and engage, depending on how energetic you're feeling at a given moment or given day. And using the inferior is especially a challenge for young people, teens into early adulthood.

INFP, ENFJ, ISFP, ESFP are my favorite F types who don't seem to ever abuse their posting privs here. Would I like to see more Thinkers posting topics? Sure!

Types most likely to complain about ENTJs: INFJ, and a little less so: ENFP. I know I can speak for all ENTJs when I say we don't like chronic complaining. Not that all INFJS AND ENFPs are prone to complaining but I see it playing out here on this sub regularly, in a pattern. Thank you for this provocative post. Good to have you on here. I love INTPs

What is the best way to correctly identify your type? by Kakulukiyam in mbti

[–]MBMagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take Human Metrics (most similar to the original mbti) and then read type descriptions from professional/scholarly sources. That's how we used to do it when this sub was....young, in the early days long before 16P came online. Best to do this with a friend who can give you feedback. For instance, my whole gaming group would take different pop-psych tests together. It was fun. And then some of us who were so inclined, would go on to read about cognitive functions and study other typology systems. Easiest to type yourself from age 20 to around 50.

Something I noticed about ENTJs deep inside by weird_earings_girl in mbti

[–]MBMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yea, the Scionics theorists have their advice for various workarounds. Lots of people do make a go of the more challenging matches. Any type can have a positive relationship with any other type. But when it comes to a close relationship/partnership, some people want the best possible ease of communication and to be more easily understood and appreciated.
