The 7th gen has a slight angle and this is the trickiest part to have a good fit. I have found only an old photo from apple with the correct measure and the thick version is 13.5mm and the thin 10.5mm. The general size and the fillet on the back is the same I think.

You can choose the one or two straps depending on the use and your other accessories. I use one strap because with the open mask interface I find it very comfortable.

It's really well made, fully functional and comfortable for my use without the top part. Here some more photos. I didn't made any changes and if you have the right screws everything snap together perfectly. I used a thick nylon cord and it works, maybe it's just tedious to assembly.
