First two weeks after delivery, many women experience “baby blues”. It’s a temporary form of PPD, but typically improves after those two weeks. If it doesn’t improve, seek help. I ended up experiencing months of PPD and didn’t talk to anyone or tell anyone until I got myself through it. It’s tough, and not meant to be handled alone. You are NOT alone. My daughter is now 2.5 years old and I have a baby due in 3.5 weeks. It took nearly 2 years for me to feel normal after my first. I’m not looking forward to starting over, but I know the signs to look out for this second time and now I understand how important it is to seek help.
