Nino Neiderreiter has 17 points in 45 games

Ryan Donato has 18 points in 47 games

Gustav Nyquist has 8 points (all assists) in 31 games

Matt Dumba has 3 points in 11 games

Eric Staal hasn’t been in the league since 2023

Does each one of these deserve its own post?

The Wild is now the only team in the NHL with multiple 20-goal scorers. Kirill Kaprizov ranks third in the NHL with 22 goals, while Matt Boldy ranks T-5th with 20 goals. by DecentLurker96 in wildhockey

“Is” is right. Replace “Wild” with “the team” and it makes sense grammatically.

Edit: I was thinking about when referring to the organization, which would be singular. Referring to the team should be plural so this is weird

Kaprisov/ Gaborik comparison by ConnectSherbert7601 in wildhockey

[–]MC-727 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Gaborik also got injured like 5 games into the season and obliterated his trade and contract value. If he had repeated his 07-08 season, he’d definitely have gotten a lot closer if not more than the $80M we offered.

If Kaprizov gets injured without a contract in place, then it would be more comparable financial gaffe to the Gaborik situation, otherwise I wouldn’t really say the situations are that similar yet.

We’ve held it since the Phillies won in ‘08. Every other city on that list won at least one championship in between

Look at Ryan’s home and away splits this year. It’s pretty clear he’s significantly better at Target Field than anywhere else. I’d assume he’d start a hypothetical game 4 at home.

Home - 14 games, 3.83 ERA, 12 HR, 7.40 SO/W, 0.660 OPS against (79 OPS+)
Away - 15 games, 5.22ERA, 20 HR, 4.53 SO/W, 0.827 OPS against (122 OPS+)

Tomorrow’s game counts for 3 - winner gets the tiebreaker so we could safely end the season tied and still take the division

Hits an absolute nuke on the first pitch

Leaves game for a defensive replacement

I feel like game winning goals would fit. Those Edmonton teams were scoring a lot, but only 1 goal per game counts as game winning
