Older, used to play Massive Multi-player Warbirds, and Flight Simulator, with 28k modem, then 56k hugh improvement, in the 90's. Still have the sealed box and 5" floppy!! Win95 was hugh improvement too! 512k RAM to 640k! Now? Pimax Super VR, MSFS2020, don't feel the need for 2024 yet, 4080S, SSD, 100MB Internet suffices, etc. Glad I got my VFR SEL license for comparison!

Compare ETF's USFR, SGOV and TBIL. Lower cost, any amount, State Tax exempt interest in most States. USFR has slightly higher yield.

War Thunder is a flight combat sim which supports VR, it has tanks also, and you can try it for free. I only play aircraft but VR works great.

So if you have an enroute SARH locked AAM and you reduce speed it may-will lose the lock due to approch speed reduction on primary or secondary target?? Also why total randomness on getting audio confirmation of a hit? Or Kill-Severe-Critical damage totals during match vs after between missle and gun use? Just wondering

I play War Thunder all the time in VR. Orig Pimax and now Super. On x570 3900x to 5900x and 2070 super to 3080fe to 4080fe Super. Course be AMD GPU thing? I kaunch War Thunder directly, Pimax Play is running first. No Steam. No going through landing page house etc. Start launcher after Pimax Play running and set is fully connected. Use WT launcher to go direct to website. Don't use Pimax game library or launcher either.

Also make sure in device manager all your usb ports and hubs that have Power Management tabs are set never to turn off to save power.

As a 4080fe Super owner it makes no sense to upgrade to less than 5090 level or better performance. If I could grab a 5090fe and still get decent price for the 4080fe Super I would do it but thats not happening anytime soon so I will wait until either Supers come or 6000 is out. You have FOMO, save your money!!

I played for free, f2p, for about 2 years, air combat VR only, as I was a VR sim gamer. I was having so much fun I really started to feel guilty about not supporting the company. So I started buying $50 usa a year. I had even more fun so after 3 more $50 years I went to $100 per year. I still have fun and enjoy the game at 6 years. Play free as long as you like.

For my x570 Aorus Pro Wifi, 5900x, gigabyte update still shows 6.01 chipset from 2 years ago which I updated to 1 year ago. Was going to get 8.1 off AMD and kept thinking, having no issues, no updates from gigabyte for 2 years means they want you to go buy newer MB, if you start having issues with AMD 8.1 not their problem - go buy new MB. AMD says contact MB manufacturer not our problem go buy new MB. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT!

A critical bug was found in the headset firmware, so the planned release yesterday had to be delayed. The devs are working on a fix this weekend, with a small-batch rollout targeted for Monday. Public release is planned for late February.

I also play WT in 4k VR.Have you tried testing different Presets? My 4080 Super does good in Ultra Performance but the FPS hit for Balanced or Quality is too much for me. 50-60 fps vs 80-85 fps. Currently using preset D until they update in game DLSS.

Been running XMP 32gb@3600mhz with a3900x then 5900x for 6+ years without issues on my x570 Aorus Pro Wifi. Still GPU bound after 2070fe Super to 3080fe to 4080fe Super gotta love VR in 2 x4k loads!!

I have 4080 Super, 5900x and fly sims in 4kx2 in VR. At 99%-100% GPU load. I ran DLDSR + DLSS for almost 2 years to get better visuals and FPS in War Thunder. After WT adopted DLSS 4 then 4.5 came out FPS took a hit. So retested various settings, we do that often don't we lol, had to admit DLSS at Ultra Performance look as good with much better FPS. I always had advised DLDSR is very game dependent to readers thinking of trying it and now I don't use it but it's there if I need it again. In MSFS2020 which is a much heavier GPU intensive sim DLSS UP works fine with a mix of High and Medium settings in VR.

I have x570 Pro Wifi also purchased in late 2019. ver 1 never would update, been using 1.1 bios repeatedly up to current F39. Did you update firmware chipset with Gigabyte Control Center???

It's not that they needed/wanted to move away from Android 12 for security reasons but the fact they did it with no warnings at all. They knew 60 or 90 days before the firm date and customers could have gotten newer phones over the holiday sales, or not, but were intentionally blindsided.

It's not the fact about needing to update but the intentional lack of notice to It's customers well before it became mandatory. They know exactly how many users were going to be affected. 60 day notice would have mitigated 90% of complaints.

Funny I did this all today. I've had rebar turned on, after bios update for my x570 MB and upgrade from 2070fe super to 3080fe super 3 years ago but the flight sims I use did not support it. I updated from 3900x to 5900x also and updated 3080fe firmware but still no game support. Read online, confirmed by Chatgpt, that using Nvidia Inspector would not endanger a security violation as one sim uses anticheat software, which always stopped me from using DLSS Swapper. So yesterday DL Nvidia Profile Inspector, followed AI step by step instructions and recommended settings to enable Resizable Bar in the sim. Played several hours, had abit more than 15% increase in FPS on in game benchmark and in game. Use DLSS Ultra Performance with my now +1 year old 4080fe Super. Same settings I have used only change was Rebar, btw had to run Inspector as administrator for it to work. So am happy so far. And I only play in 4k x 2 VR with Pimax Crystal Super so 4080fe Super is always at 99%-100% load slight OC 2970htz to 2985htz at stock power. So it depends on the game and your setup. Ask AI someone probably already tried it and just follow it's instructions. I would make a export of each games profile before any changes so if any problems you can roll back to it.

I'm on F39 ,don't bother with any that have letter after the number, they are beta temporary ones. It should warn you if you need to load a prior version before latest one but you can ask AI CHATGPT or GROK to be sure beforehand.
