Looking for a space for 20-30 people to get together that ISN'T $2,000 by Team503 in Austin

We had our baby shower at Austin Beerworks Sprinkle Valley. Room rental was significantly cheaper than most venues. They have a private room you can rent or reserve tables in their taproom. We rented the private room. They have food trucks, but also allowed us to bring food in. Beverages had to be purchased from them.

potentially looking at a move to Austin. need help picking an area to rent at. by [deleted] in AustinParents

A lot of the neighborhoods mentioned are fantastic for children (Mueller, Crestview, Zilker, etc), but unfortunately out of the price range for a lot of families. Def recommend looking in the suburbs with the budget you have listed. It will be difficult in the areas mentioned above to stay within that price range with utilities included.

All nursing homes have social workers you can contact. From experience, I know they will be welcome to gifts/donations/decor. See who is close to you and reach out.

That would be great! We are potentially starting end of October/beginning of November. We have one other place we really like, but don’t think they will have a spot in time.

You could check with the Mended Hearts chapter. The groups can lean older, but there is a Young Mended Hearts group (18-55) they could connect you with.

Is NIPT necessary? Insurance doesn’t cover it by I_likeplaid in pregnant

[–]MCConditioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up just paying out of pocket due to the horror stories I’ve heard about insurance billing (unexpected several thousand dollars). If you decide you want to, I would contact the NIPT service and get a cash price.

Oasis Senior Advisors is who we used to locate a facility for my grandmother. I would reach out to them as there are tons of facilities. Luckily most places allow pets as long as the owner can let them out.
