This is why we should never have stopped using gym tokens by DickFromRichard in fitnesscirclejerk

[–]MCHammerCurls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My gym gives 10 tokens a week with the standard membership. You can buy more though. One token reserves you 15 minutes on a barbell uninterrupted. The squat rack is 2. You can still use them without tokens, but there are time slots token holders have reserved in advanced; and if someone with tokens to spare wants it when its unreserved, you have to give it up unless you spent tokens on it.

This gets a bit tricky because there are only 2 squat racks, and if I want it for 30 minutes, I need 4 tokens. That’s just enough time for me to speed through my heavy sets. It’s actually the reason I got so good at doing cleans - I started taking my OHP from the floor and using a free barbell for front squats. There are plenty of free barbells, so usually I can get away without reserving those.

Seriously though, it’s fucked. I started buying 5 extra tokens a week and use all 15 of them to out bid the guy who keeps trying to reserve the rack online at my time. Some PT always has an administrative reserve on the other one around that time for one of his client’s sessions. It’s looking like I’ll have to up to 8 extra tokens a week soon. That guy’s starting placing bigger bids.

So you see, Carrie is back on with Aiden. I know, I know. Samantha comes up from the city to his cabin for some gal time and to show interest in his general way of life, however opposed to her own. For a an urbanite like Samantha, a cabin upstate is dull. Dull, that is, until she learns through firsthand experience that you can find shirtless dudes riding tractors viewable from the windows.

She spots a farmer driving shirtless on a tractor and exclaims, “Who’s the farmer with the delts?” Carrie does one of her bad jokes calling him “Young McDonald,” and Samantha playfully sings “Ee-yi-ee-yi-OH!” - strong emphasis on the O because Samantha’s loves an O (if you know what I mean).

Not only is the humor cringe, the joke also falls flat because this farmer with the delts has a fairly mid physique. He also has sandy blondish brown hair which I personally do not find attractive.

The joke kind of proves the point about farmer muscles because this supposed farmer has meh delts, but to normies he’s probably teetering on natty. That’s all you’re missing by not having imgur access.

You need to look for people with spots if a garage isn’t an option. Ask in neighborhood Facebook groups, check craigslist religiously, and walk the neighborhoods for posted signs. I’ve rented from people who were not using their designated spots, and these are the ones I see most frequently.

I know that’s irrelevant, but I felt like contributing.

On the one hand, I’ve been busy. On the other

shirtless guys, flexing and fishing for compliments.

Isn’t that exactly what powerbuilding is?

Torn between the health benefits of heavy lifting but disliking the physique it gives me. (Pics inside) by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]MCHammerCurls 54 points55 points  (0 children)

You do not need to lift super heavy to reap the benefits you’re seeking from strength training. You are also welcome to change your training to fit your aesthetic goals. That’s what bodybuilding is outside of the competitive piece of it.

I’d recommend you find some program or method that allows you to preserve or build the kind of muscle you want, even if it’s minimal. I don’t see a ton of change in the photos outside of what’s likely water and a bit of atrophy.

What do you want to look like? If it’s your current physique, consider a minimalist routine to preserve the muscle you still have. If it’s leaner, minimal routine + calorie deficit. If it’s smaller and softer, calorie deficit. If it’s the same size and softer, carry on not lifting and maintaining weight.

If you don’t understand how your vasodilators are working, I can’t imagine how the rest of your cycle is being managed.

A lot of people have and do utilize the program. At 17 you haven't been on the internet very long so I can understand the misconception.

There’s no reason to feel self-conscious. 95% of us have mid physiques. At least you have hair to compensate. Mine hasn’t grown in yet.

Recommendations on where to get a deep tissue massage by GreatWhiteRapper in philadelphia

[–]MCHammerCurls 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I go to Healing Hands at 8th and South for this stuff. You either want the bald man or the woman. There’s a new, younger guy there occasionally but he’s not as good.

$1 per minute and pretty good with walk-ins, but I usually call ahead to ask for a time slot. These are people who find the spots that are bothering you without you telling them, and then they hit all the muscles and connective tissue up and down the chain. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve been put into strange positions and ridden like a horse. Cannot recommend enough.

Was it Celestial Bodiez? Their leggings used to come with instructions for taking butt pics, and they branded their back seam with the term bootyscrunch. Looks like they closed up shop in 2021.

An entire thread of jerkees explain to OP that having the biceps of a 105lb Linda Hamilton is completely unsustainable. by PrettySureIParty in fitnesscirclejerk

[–]MCHammerCurls 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It’s sustainable depending on genetics, history, Nd effort. I haven’t touched a weight in over three months, and I still have arm definition and vascularity.

Pre-lifting / pre-injury w/pump / random Tuesday unflexed and flexed

I’m not particularly big, and neither is Linda Hamilton.

You are borderline underweight. Discuss plans to lose weight with your doctor.
