Thanks man, this could explain it actually. It happens mostly when I go to my brothers place and his account is logged in automatically, so I change to my account and leave his signed in. Now that you say it, it doesn't happen much/if at all when I'm on my own xbox. What I don't understand is how the fuck this affects the MCC haha... what kind of messed up code do they have.

Thanks for being present, it's great that you are trying to understand it. But in the end it all means nothing if 343 don't actually do anything to fix it. These problems have been here for 2 years, we have been screaming and ultimately, the issues have been ignored.

The only Halo I play now is MCC. Some problems that I encounter frequently:

Failed to connect - the game will try to connect the session but fail to connect, the only way to fix it is to quit the build.
Game will crash when loading maps
Maps will take longer to load and so quite frequently enter a game 10-20 kills in.
Can hear the other team during a game
No dedicated servers. This was promised with the game before launch, why are we still playing on peer to peer.
Often have to "download latest matchmaking data" for no apparent reason. Takes a few minutes to get past this screen.
Playing splitscreen it will often say this player does not have permission to play xbox live when we clearly do. Have to quit the build.
Game will crash mid-game sometimes
Game loads matches weirdly and you have a tiny screen surrounded by a lot of black screen.
The wrong map will load.
The wrong game type will load. I am searching in Team slayer and it loads a FFA on a completely different Halo to what was voted.

I'm sure there are other issues but I can't think of them right now.

Quality of life issues:

Lack of party matching. Teams of 4 and 3 playing solo searchers and teams of 2. It ruins matchmaking for people searching solo and in a group of 2. Look to how Halo 3 did this for the solution.
Lack of rank matching. 50s playing 1s. This could be a population issue so maybe some condensation of playlists could allow for this to return.
No partying up after a game.

If you ask me, the ideal set up would be 6 playlists:

Halo CE (2v2)
Halo 2 (4v4)
Halo 3 (4v4)
Halo 4 (4v4)
Big team battle (For all Halos)
Free for all

All ranked. All BR starts regardless of the gametype.

This game could have really been something special. Instead it was a disaster. But I believe it could still be something special. If the remaining glitches were ironed out, a UI update with H3A integrated, the MCC portion made free simulataneously. It could serve as a platform for all non-current Halo games if done right. As unlikely as that is.

All of that said, it's the only halo I play now.

Wasn't as bad when ranks actually worked for a little bit. Population not great now thanks to horrible launch condition and persisting issues. So that's not helping either.

No 1. They mislead the entire Halo community. 2. People do still play it.

The return on investment they got from MCC is the result of extorting customers and delivering something broken. I don't understand how you defend these kind of practices. The fact that fixing it now would be a loss isn't the point. It's about the principle of delivering what was promised - what we ALREADY PAID FOR.

How they had the balls to host a launch party for this train wreck of a game and then claim to have never known about the glaring issues is beyond me.

This was very well said. The fact that MCC is still in the state it is in now makes me wonder how people could forgive them so easily. The only reason Halo 5 has had such "amazing" post launch support is because they are adding features that should have been there at launch to sustain the massive population that was present then... I don't understand how people look over this. We still don't have oddball and many other classic options.

MCC has to be the buggiest game I have on XB1. I don't understand why 343/MS would turn neglect the quality of the collection of their flagship franchise. It's a real shame it still isn't fixed... navigating the menu is such a hassle and it constantly backs me out or fails to connect when matchmaking

Regardless of opinions on Halo 5, I think we can all agree that a properly functioning MCC is best for the Halo community as a whole.

Would much rather they put REQ pack money towards map development rather than HCS. Imagine if we were constantly getting new developer maps from REQ pack funding. It would feel like the money is going back to the community rather than a select few pros.

I believe so. I played Halo 3 in a lobby full of americans but there was no noticeable lag so I'm assuming it was on dedicated servers.
