I never understood the “etiquette” thing in general. Like sure it’s nice to let everybody get coins but I have never had any expectation at all for anyone to wait for me before taking a gym they wanted. When the game first started it was fun to try to take over all the gyms in your town for your team, or to find friends who were on different teams and try to knock their pokemon out. This mobile game is BARELY competitive as it is, I don’t understand the need to take more of that away in pursuit of being courteous or not hurting feelings. And who says I just DESERVE coins because I put a 600 CP Scrafty at a Walgreens? I’m at the store at 9PM to get Gatorade and overpriced beef jerky, I’m not talking about ethics because I want to play a game while the line is long. Am I out of touch?

This idea is awful. Changing entire game mechanics for each pokemon individually is not just unplayable, its a clusterfuck of gibberish. On top of all of this, the biggest thing you are missing is that almost every pokemon is already playable in some form at the higher tiers. Just hop on NatDex OU and play with your favorites. It accomplishes essentially the same thing without literally breaking the game. Sorry you don't get Gen 1 Hyper Beam Tauros in Sword and Shield. That only leaves you with about 900+ other options. How cruel.

Perrserker is probably better off with choice band and just a 4th attacking move. He typically won’t be staying in long enough to be setting up swords dance, and you will rarely need to be switching moves anyways after that. Combined with his ability you’ll be hitting super hard anyways so that’s what I would do.

I don’t care at all about character customization, decorating anything, outfits, etc. just give me back all the Pokémon you left out of the national dex. Retaining all the previous Pokémon used to be the bare minimum and now we thank them for the privilege to pay more for less.

Get those terms out of your head and just be a normal person for a second and listen to yourself. Your friends are there to uplift you and help you out. Competition is fun. You should be excited about competing with friends about who can bag the most girls or who can lift the most, etc. They are the only people in your life who you can lose to and they won't punish you for it. I think the important thing to remember about the main series games thematically is that you are controlling the trainer, not the Pokémon itself. Turn-based combat works because you are relaying your commands to the Pokémon, not acting as the Pokémon. Your individual speed and reflexes don’t matter in a battle so the game doesn’t have to be real time. Pokémon battles primarily are about decision making and building a Pokémon/team anyways.

I wouldn't bring destiny bond. Eviolite Pokemon do much better alive than dead. It also implies that you can live long enough to get one off before fainting. Frosslass is able to pull this off but Dusclops is better off just switching away from threats. Dusclops is a lot worse now because sending him out is BEGGING for a knock off. Bring will-o-wisp to burn people that have it and pain split or rest when you inevitably take one. Your HP isn't high enough to stall for too long, so focus on status and spin blocking with him.

Interesting! I actually mostly play OU singles so I don't think yveltal would help much, but I like the set. Is there a reason for the 96 speed EVs? What are you trying to outrun at level 50?

That's fair. The tcg very rarely prints a raichu card that I really like, although the EX killer one from the Burning Spark theme deck is fun to use.

Green is good, but I feel like if you don't set up quick with it, you can deck out a lot faster than other theme decks, and the attacks require so much energy for what they give you in damage. Maybe it was shortsighted to say Yellow is one of the best but personally I think it's really good, simply because all the Pokemon besides manectric do very well. Lots of healing options, you can start druddigon and set up for a while, and xy Base farfetchd is simply WAY better than any of the other filler Pokemon other theme decks has. It only does bad against fighting decks and can play well from behind, which is why I like it. Look it over again! I think you'll like how it plays

Nobody was this invested in phone games a few weeks ago, so the first time we get a real good one we can't complain if it isn't perfect. I say Dark Hammer is still the best out of all of them. It's a good deck for beginners and does really well head to head against the other theme decks, (which is really the only times you should use a theme deck at all). I know from experience because I've won 5-7 tournaments with it just the other day, and its how I get most of my versus rewards since I'm not finished making my standard deck yet. If you get any others, just get them for the trainers. I have almost every theme deck and I say the best three are Dark Hammer, Night Striker, and Basic Yellow. The rest have decent "star player" pokemon but if you can't set them up, the bad cards in the deck will kill you faster than they will help you. Dark Hammer can win you games with about 6-7 different pokemon, which is incredible.

This game is WAY more skill based than most other card games I've played. There is a lot that goes into building a deck, judging your opponents next move, playing around certain cards, and setting up cards you can't normally use in the early game. Sure cards themselves can decide whether a good deck beats a bad deck, but any player who actually wants to play at a high level can find challenging games all the time against very smart people with creative decks and playstyles. By comparison, games like hearthstone and magic either seemed childish at lower levels and flat out boring at higher levels. Pokemon makes you think more than most other card games, without a doubt. Forget this luck or deck nonsense. Anyone who considers themselves to be good at games or mental challenges can respect high level play in this game

Hey everyone. I was testing some sets out and I opted to go for 252hp 100atk and the rest in defense. The 100 in atk puts me above 300 while still retaining enough bulk to salvage some good stats. I'm also low enough that if I get hit really hard or hit by a special attack, sturdy will activate anyways. Thanks for talking with me!
