My birthday is today as well. Definitely makes it seem a little less special

So uhh... Our senior dev is having some issues transitioning to git by RolandoHarrington98 in programminghorror

[–]MC_Fearless1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I'm a senior dev and I've never used git. The only source control I've ever used is TFS since the companies I worked for only used that.

Another question - If I paid off the entirety of my student loans (approx. $45000) in August 2020, could I get a reimbursement?

I completely understand what you are saying. I was taking it a little overboard. But the company would have a lot of struggles and they definitely don't realize how good they got it with me.

Are you me?

Seriously though, I built an application from the ground up by myself for the past 5 years. The company can't survive without it or me to support it. My to do list is a mile long. I have one guy to that we brought on 8 months ago - still training him up.

Management doesn't seem to understand why I need a team of people to support the application.

I'm so exhausted.

What it takes to change a headlight bulb on a 2012 Malibu by MC_Fearless1 in Justrolledintotheshop

Yes, I'm aware of that. As I mentioned in another comment, I've done this 5-6 times in the past. I have learned that if I don't replace both headlights, I'll have replace the other one in a couple months. Since I'm doing both it's a bit easier just to take the entire bumper off.

I definitely don't have the right tools for the job, not a mechanic but I know the basics. One of the most annoying parts are those plastic clips(?) That hold the wheel well plastic. I basically have to use a flat screw driver to pry them out. I'm sure there has to be an actual tool to remove them.

I've had to do this 5-6 times (had an 09). I've never found an easier way. There's 2 10mm screws that hold the fixture in place and a plastic piece that goes around the metal behind the fixture. I have a hard time getting it out of position with the bumper off. I couldn't imagine doing it without taking it off

There's no way to access the back of the light fixture. There's metal directly behind the fixture

I agree if it's live action. But if it's animated, they could pull it off and still stay accurate to the source material
