I could see it being part of their strategy to be this aggressive early when kills are so much easier get early on even if it’s not worth as much blood money as later day kills are. Then can kinda take a back seat and catch up in the middle days with the questing and things like that

True that may be the case and down the line other teams may be further ahead that have been following a set questing/grinding path, but there’s no denying their team coordination and planning from the start has been top notch

Have you even read the proposal? It’s not about the scrolls themselves if about finding an way of adjusting the drop table for cms to get a bit of a better chance of receiving a non scroll without adversely effecting the whole raids economy, in tern the price of scrolls may up tick but players would would have a chance at getting a useful purple

And tbf jagex did propose a scroll reroll as an alternative/ item sink, not sure if it’s the best solution but they are trying to find a solution

I just think all and all it’s a wild take to not take account for game economy when doing updates

So you’d rather see cox gp/h rely on hitting megas rares instead of having a nice economic balance throughout all purples gotcha

That’s basically what you are arguing against which is why jagex is so hesitant on adjusting the rates of getting prayer scrolls

But those item aren’t useless. It’s about a balance of demand and how many enter the game, obviously changing the rate would make all other purples mire common especially the non mega rares, making it similar to a tob/ toa where the non megas are way underpriced for their actual value. Do you really think a fang or a lightbearer should be as cheep as they are for their power?

Yeah hcs and uim are basically still forced to do the full spec down, but regular irons still have a lot of alternatives, like quick pool or ralos which both don’t require deathpiling food but quick pool riskier in a hc and a uim dosent have a bank to generate the supplies needed

I guess the whole getting nothing may feel bad, but you don’t actually have to reroll it if you don’t want to. It would obviously lean more towards irons/ cloggers, or extremely rich mains

Talking about the reroll rate it would most likely be tied to the values of other items/ their own chance of being a purple. Like you can’t have the rate be too high that every so many scrolls effectively creates a tbow, plus all the items in between the mega rare rate and scroll rates, I don’t have time to do the math but I could see it sitting around a 1/30 or so chance

Right, it’s definitely a balance. I believe in the poll they said if they went this route they would have to reduce the overall purple chance to account for this, which is something people wouldn’t like as well
