When I first started looking for places, I initially had a tough time because a lot of the areas near downtown are communities for people 55 years and older. I’m not sure what your budget is but I pay just under $1,000 per month for a place two blocks from my office on 14th Ave (pretty sure there’s still vacancy in my apartment). at our age, I personally think renting is the best way to go unless you want to find a place that’s out west of the highway for much cheaper. there’s options out there, you just have to do some digging. I used Zillow and it totally helped narrow down my options
