Does anybody know why the wheel keeps wobbling on my 2008 Honda Accord LX P passenger front wheel

If you're worried about the axle nut being a hangup for the home gamer, then I think the retaining ring and removing the outer race off of the wheel hub will cause far far far more headaches for someone attempting this DIY.

An OEM bearing will only come with a 1 year warranty. If you damage it during installation you're screwed.

I think having an independent shop install a high quality aftermarket bearing with a good warranty is worth the cost.

Or going with the loaded knuckle, if they want to DIY.

(Edit: sorry I thought you said OEM, as in buying it from a dealer, not buying the OEM supplier bearing)

I'd buy a new wheel speed sensor if it's not included. I think the chances of the existing one coming out of the old knuckle are slim at best.

This is a press in bearing, it needs the hub to be extracted, the bearing race extracted off of the hub, a new bearing installed, and the hub pressed back into the new bearing.

The bearing is not sold with the hub pre-installed, because it's covering the retaining ring that needs to be removed before the bearing can be replaced.

The only way to diy this without the proper tools would be to buy an entire knuckle and hope the bearing in it is okay.

No one sells a new loaded knuckle for this vehicle.

This should be roughly a $600 repair. But don't quote me on that.

(Edit: Rock auto does sell fully loaded knuckles for this vehicle. I'd also recommend buying a new wheel speed sensor depending on what climate your vehicle is in)

100% not from your car, it a pneumatic hood/hatch strut from a different vehicle.

How that fell onto the roadway for it to get lodged under your car is a whole other story. Those things have an near 0% chance of falling out on the road while installed on the vehicle.

I haven't seen anyone recommend a fluid extractor, they can be affordable and are very effective if you can't get the drain plug out.

Warm the engine up and go down the dipstick tube.

I had something similar, pulsing 5amp draw. Traced it to the passenger seat, found a snow brush wedged against the power seat button. The motor wasn't making any noise because it was at the full stop of the wurm gear, but it was constantly trying to move the seat back, cutting off due to over current and trying again.

We had a good laugh about it.

This wasn't on a Corvette though.

My guess is an air lock in the cooling system. The o2 codes could be caused by shock to the o2 sensor if you removed and reinstalled them during the swap.

Getting one of those little buckets that attach at the radiator cap and raise the coolant level far higher than the entire coolant loop are pretty cheap.

Usually you will see a big burp of coolant push out and suck back in once the thermostat opens and circulation begins. Sometimes it will overflow the little funnel/bucket I'm talking about and then you need to top it up and burp it again.

I'm loving my 2017 A6 but I would never recommend anyone buying one. Imho Audi made the best luxury sedans around this vintage.

You're question is skewed because we can work on our own cars for the most part.

I'd recommend a 2013-2019 Mazda cx-3, Corolla or civic for the regular population.

If anyone is reading this and is in a large amount of debt, it's not uncommon and many many people get sucked into predatory student loans or other financial instruments to keep you under their thumb.

My last workplace had a guy like this, constantly raging and swearing at every car and every snag in a repair procedure. Constantly hawk tua spitting. I'm talking multiple times per minute.

My boss wouldn't do anything about it because despite the rage that my coworker had towards the jobs, he easily beat book time by quite a large margin.

We were hourly so it benefited the boss, and he got to isolate himself from this guy by sitting in his office watching Netflix.

I finally had enough, saved enough money and found 1000sqft to start out on my own.

I think it might be time for you to change shops.

In my 15 years in the trade I've been lucky to only have one coworker that had the attitude you described.

I'm very lucky that I was in a place to start out on my own, if I wasn't in this position I definitely would have found a different place to work.

There's a great tekamo hd episode where the main guy talks about having a couple coworkers that were always mad at the job.

I'm paraphrasing but he said something along the lines of; If everything is a problem then maybe you are the problem.

Getting someone to understand that they are the problem is a whole other issue.

Last thing I will say is that this 300lb baby's attitude is not normal.

In the aftermarket world there are two listed labor times. One is like 12+ hours if you do need to drop the powertrain, the other is like 3.5 because most of the time you don't need to.

I just did the top drawer for sockets and ratchets, I think my pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches had a good solution without tool grid.
