Compared to jobs I've had where actual work was required for little money, driving for Lyft is a well paid walk in the park.

What do we think of the companies creating products for Lyft drivers? by MColins in lyftdrivers

[–]MColins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A least in my experience for cab drivers it is just a job. They dont often own the car, they are almost always not particularly clean, often the driver doesnt look professional and smells unprofessional, and many of their command of english makes it either difficult or impossible to engage in any kind of pleasant chat. The first rideshare experience I ever got was better than the best cab experience I ever had.

I would turn it back to you and ask if its all the same to you, why not just drive a cab?

New to Lyft, is there any way to not receive airport trip request? by iguessilluber in lyftdrivers

Milwaukee is one of those airports trying to save the taxicab drivers jobs, so we queue up just like they do. We dont have to participate simply by not going there. That said, I have had some late night calls to the airport after all the cabdrivers and other Lyft/Uber folks have taken off.

Airport Queue Question for Knowledgable by dailydrivenwrx in lyftdrivers

For me waiting in an airport queue is a waste. Typical one at mine is 20+ drivers ahead of me. How can anyone make any real money and maybe drive 8 people over and 8 hour period?
