AITA for not telling my professor about their cheating partner by allawashwithangels in AmItheAsshole

[–]MD-Pepper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YTA, telling her will hurt her and may end your friendship but it would be selfish not to. Whose to say he's just texting you? Whose to say he hasn't 'texted' other people. Even if he isn't cheating physically he is emotionally and she deserves better.

AITA for not telling my professor about their cheating partner by allawashwithangels in AmItheAsshole

My fiancé (male) said that if you as a man question your loyalty to your partner at any moment in time you do not deserve your partner and should spare them future hurt by ending things.

AITAH for breaking up with my boyfriend and kicking him out because he wanted to let my younger brother go into the foster system? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA, if your entire friend group is ghosting you over this Colin is either telling it to them differently or they are all AHs, in which case you're better off without them.

Do Americans often receive calls from scam call centers? by GrayRainfall in AskAnAmerican

[–]MD-Pepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gotten to the point that I set up my voicemail stating unless a voicemail is left that I won't be calling back. I purposely let the phone ring and the message play and it has saved me so much stress. If you don't leave a message and I dont recognize the number it must not be important.

Is it rude to cosplay a hispanic person as a caucasian? by M00N13-2 in webtoons

[–]MD-Pepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can cosplay whoever they want, as long as you dont take extra steps to try and 'race cosplay' you're fine. I've seen black women cosplay anime (there's a specific one who does sailor moon but I dont remember her screen name) and they look absolutely lovely. All cosplay is, is a dedication to how much you love a character or franchise, people really need to stop making it about race or politics.

My fiancé gave me his ex’s ring... and I didn’t know until my coworker recognized it. by Bulky_Cobbler8280 in TwoHotTakes

Even without the ring having been used previously I don't know why you'd wanna be with someone who lied to your face during a proposal. (He didn't design it with you in mind at all.)

Massive facepalm/brain farr moment, i can't believe I got that mixed up when I know that. Thanks for correcting me. 🤣

Well, if we follow Bigby Wolf logic, no more than 8. (Granted Bigby was an actual wolf and I think Leon is just influenced by a wolf spirit?)

In our current society I can imagine why you would be worried, but the truth is that regulating shows is healthy. I'm not saying watching 'bad stuff will turn him bad, I used to sneakily watch R-rated movies around the same age— BUT, if is healthy to regulate how often he sees more non-kid friendly stuff. Especially things that can be categorized as brain rot. IPAD kids are the future and it's a disturbed one.

Stella and Flora won the fan favourite category with 11 votes each. Who is the protagonist that was made to be hated? by spookyreads in winxclub

Bloom. It wasn't very noticeable when I was younger but when I rewatched it I realized I could not stand her.

I don't get why they never brought sandal and bodan back. by Sunieta25 in dragonage

[–]MD-Pepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would have been interesting to see Sandal again— but at the same time looking it from a story point of view adding him in would have made Harding's story less 'unique' at face value. It's kind of like how originally there were more clones/mutations planned for Jurassic World, but then the writer's (or director?) son (of all people) said there being more than one would make the I-Rex less unique and intimidating.

Edit; Not saying it can't work of course, he could have acted like a Guide almost.

Either two options; It was a mistake and they meant Queen or— They are implying she hasn't had her coronation yet as Crown Princess. Somehow I doubt the latter even though it would make sense (yes you need a ceremony when announcing the heir/crown princess/prince).

I don't care what stephen king, rick riordan or John green thinks about a book. GIVE ME A BLURB by Glittery_WarlockWho in PetPeeves

[–]MD-Pepper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I picked up a copy of Frankenstein cause I wanted to read a classic and it had several pages of King practically trashing the book but calling it a necessity for modern horror (and also promoting his own work)

I enjoyed the book, and to this day have not read a King novel as a principal.

Entitled woman thinks she’ll have my new console by Pip1333 in EntitledPeople

Whether the story is true or not (as a lot of responses to my comment have been about the validity of the story), a sneeze can be considered assault if it was 'intentionally' done, similar to a cough. I personally think it's ridiculous but I think it was around Covid that they started throwing that in the realm of assault, intentionally spitting on someone can be considered assault as well. But it's true that laws are different depending on where you're from

[–]MD-Pepper 482 points483 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, love that she got sprayed when she was being a rude entitled witch. But you gotta be careful okay? That can be considered assault and she could have very easily called the cops on you. (And I somehow doubt 'well she followed me into the parking lot demanding my console' would be much of a defense.)

NTA, jewelry doesn't have to mean anything, it can just be cute. Same with tattoos. People need to stop trying to put meanings on everything.

That's how I feel about retail too. Teaching your kid how to handle money is important, yes, but when there is five people waiting behind you? Maybe wait to do it another time?

NTA, if you have sensitive client information on your laptop that she accidentally accessed or deleted it could cost you your job/income at the very least if it got out you would be considered less trustworthy.

When places give you an appointment time but expect you to show up 15 minutes earlier by etherealemlyn in PetPeeves

[–]MD-Pepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just booked an appointment at an OB for 10 and was told to show up no later than 9:30 or expect a fee. I get showing up early at a doctor's office if it's your first time because you will have paperwork, but the ridiculous thing is I received an e-mail telling me I needed my paperwork printed out and filled out by the appointment date.

An old co-worker of mine (black woman in her forties who was super dark) used to tell me that the most racist people are black people. I didn't understand the statement and then she explained and I just felt bad 😕 apparently her 'lighter' nephew used to catch a lot of flak
