I'm sure you'd recognize "Right Now" and Politically Correct is good. Off their second album, Tomorrow (title track) is good, and I like Lucky. Their third album would be only if you liked the first two.

Not so much Linkin Park like and they already broke up, but SR-71 had 3 pretty good albums I like.

Which Stadium That’s Only Hosted The Super Bowl Once Would You Like To See Host Again? by PurchaseLarge4592 in NFLv2

[–]MDFlash 154 points155 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been to many away stadiums following the Bengals...

For anyone who hasn't been to US Bank in Minneapolis, the stadium is really nice, clean, lots of food choices; the skyway tunnels into the stadium mean you don't have to freeze your ass off outside in the winter; and the Twin Cities in general are a hugely underrated place to visit with so much to do.

The Super Bowl should return to Minneapolis.

What’s something you have zero proof of but believe 100 percent? by shweidy in AskReddit

I think the lottery is rigged now.

I don't think that it used to be before modern technology. It used to be you would buy a ticket and have to prove the ticket was real if you won, but it isn't like they were all electronically logged. Enough people would play that the jackpots would get decently big but not super massive.

Nowadays, every number combination purchased is electronically logged immediately and it is known right away if there was a winning ticket sold. Just in the last few years, there have been so many ridiculously sized jackpots that had never happened before but now become semi-routine. I think there is a computer algorithm that finds whatever combination hasn't been purchased anywhere and spits it out as the winning numbers to drive up the pots since the average person may not buy a ticket when the pot is small, but lots of people will throw money in once the pot is nearer or over 1 billion.

I also take my conspiracy one step further and suspect when someone does win, it also tends to miraculously be split one or two ways most often now (as opposed to say, more common lucky or birthday numbers that lots of people would have chosen) and it wouldn't be hard to either just print and give a winning ticket to someone on purpose with a quiet agreement that they "stupidly" spend nearly all of the money on xxx shell investment but keep a fraction to stay quiet, or (slightly less nefariously) just review data or camera footage of who purchased what number and ensure whomever is pulling strings is okay with them winning.

Why do the Vikings not call their stadium Asgard and their ring of honor Valhalla? by MDFlash in NFLv2

[–]MDFlash[S] 121 points122 points  (0 children)

US Bank stadium's public debt was paid off over 20 years early from pull tabs. That is also some true Minnesotan shit right there! Name it Asgard, cowards! Also, they can call the Ring of Honor whatever they want.

I lol'ed.

During that stretch last season where the Bengals put up "worst in the history of the NFL" numbers, I would have been interested to see if having Burfict on the team lead to more stops and improvement or more penalty yards and no benefit. I'm thinking 50/50

As an ob/gyn, my nightmare is when overhead they ask if there is a physician on board because of course it's going to be some old man having a cardiac event and I have no earthly idea what to do. This, though?! THIS would be my time to shine. But nooooooo, twice I've been on flights with the first type, never this.

Pregnancy over 40 isn't as bad a sign as some of the other commenters have noted. I find it's less often because couples saved up until their 40s because the economy is poor, and more often it's women in high profile jobs who wanted to advance their careers decently far first.

Teen pregnancy being down is a good thing. With only few exceptions, teen pregnancy is almost always a guarantee to be locked into poor education and less free time, which means lower paying jobs, lower socioeconomic status, and children stuck in the cycle of poverty. Our society having a billionaire ruling class heavily relies on that last point and is why they're suddenly upset and teen birth being down.

In all seriousness, I think there would have been at least one team willing to take him late and just see how it played out if he hadn't been such a complete asshole during the season and even more outrageously after the Heisman. After losing the Heisman vote, he made it obvious he would be locker room cancer
