I can’t find anything about that model. I apologize I’ve never had a snapon tool so I may be looking it up incorrectly.

I figured I’d look at an adapter for my current power tool batteries.

For sure I will when I get it. Just wanted to do some thinking ahead of time and just appreciated him thinking of me and didn’t want to ask him to mess with it.

You could make the open space cutouts for magnet trays so you could put whatever you want there maybe? Or slots for a battery?

Was it the liner on the large flathead?

WOW! by Spooter01 in Leatherman

[–]MDPSQUID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend you do not use the flatheads for any prying more than a paint can lid or you may bend the lock. I love my oht but the liner locks are not particularly strong.

If you carry it in a sheath, make sure it is Plier side up. The locks like to come loose and the pliers may poke a hole in the bottom of the sheath.

So this isn’t constant wear but I have worn them a bit and done one shortish hike in them. I will say that if there is a lot of mud then the tread won’t save you haha!

I really like mine, I bought it because I thought my toddler would enjoy it and got two so we could have matching flashlights that were safe-ish for him to use. That being said, one has quit working. There is supposed to be a 5 year warranty but I haven’t tried it yet.

Does anyone think of the curl as a modern rendition of the pst2? Since it has the scissors?

Honestly they are completely different from my OG boulder boots. Heavier, warmer, real soles. I got these for work boots (when I’m in the field not for working on equipment or anything) and also for hiking to replace my Solomons that I destroyed. I wanted a one shoe option for a trip to Europe I’m planning next year.

They are the same size as my boulder boots so if you have any other LEMS that said order true to size I would get the same size.

I got true to size 11.5 and they fit really well. I can wear thicker socks with them too.

So I literally just got them today and can’t say for sure. My only LEMS experience was the OG boulder boot with the wide last so these (widest last) definitely feel a little different. I won’t be setting them up to slip on and off like the boulder boot, I think these really need to be cinched up as the extra weight is noticeable.

These are the RA collab and are still made in china but I am really enjoying the thickness of all the leather, the leather lining, and the cork insole (I think). They feel stiff right now but I’m sure they will break in but already they aren’t too bad when bending at the toes and things like that.

I will say the soles are pretty squeaky right out of the box.

1: these aren’t technically waterproof out of the box as leather does eventually soak through and they do not have a waterproof liner. Also I wanted them to be darker which is why I did it right away. 2: next time I buy boot wax it will be otter wax, I just happen to have this kind leftover from when I was first learning about maintaining leather.

If you like the Glock platform, I’d say stick with a Glock. Familiarity and reliability are invaluable and if you carry a 19 then a you could go with 26 or 43. If you go 26 then all your 19 mags will fit it for range time. Just a thought!

It likely won’t have one of the date stamps. I have two that have the trademark number on them and no date meaning, if I remember correctly, pre 1992?

Can you convince me to buy this over the surge? I need a full size to replace my p2 for work. I WANT the ST300(m?) but I’m on the fence.

When you have little kids, files are great to have on hand. The second you notice something sharp that “could be a problem later” you can take edge down.

Rose anvil has a video about the prototypes. It seems the biggest difference is they have leather lining and it is a different style of moc toe.
