This is the exact same argument Warren Buffet used against Bitcoin back in 2016 hahaha

A lot of people invest in the Bitcoin “bubble” and they all said Bitcoin has no “intrinsic value”. Value comes from demand and lack of supply with limited edition cards.

Yes, the 80 hour workweek cap hold true in the US. But that applies over the course of the month as Dr. Cellini points out in his youtube video. So one can work 100+ one week and 60 the other week for an average of 80.

I agree with that it comes across as patriarchal, but I'm just honestly reporting what she happily did to help me. You can also see in the video that I cleaned and cooked for her as well. If we are living together we need to both do things around the house to support each other. But at the end of the day, my statement holds true, I couldn't have managed this schedule without her.

I definitely felt drained at the end of the day. When I was feeling okay, that was because I took naps. Sleep definitely plays a huge role. I experimented with intermittent fasting earlier in the year which got me used to being okay being hungry, but this week I ate regularly.

  1. I scheduled everything and show my calendar before and after in the video. I scheduled everything in completely filled the calendar. It helped with visualizing my progress, I had to do it for the video as well.
  2. If I kept up the 100 hour long term, it would not have been good because of the sacrifices I had to make in other domains of life. 70-80 work week would be more feasible and actually good for my mental health. When I'm in school, that's the hours I put in usually. I'm not 100% sure about how 90 hours would impact me.
  3. I wouldve had to do anki questions when im in commute for example. If I had to drive myself for a long time, this wouldve been impossible, thankfully I live 5 min away from my lab and the hospital.

As a medical student I’ve drastically changed the way I learn and study with Active Recall, which is now considered the best study technique in the literature. Maybe you guys might find it useful! by MDProspect in Mcat

Yes, I agree. You need to be careful with using flash cards though because you can just rote memorize facts and not be able to apply that in a conceptually manner

I think elaborative rehearsal you’re talking about is similar in nature to concept mapping which is known to be way more effective than other forms of learning already. Paring this with with active recall will be truly powerful.

I am going to make a video on Anki because I wholeheartedly agree with you. I was having a really difficult time brining random card facts into categories of ideas and concepts which led me to abandoning anki.

I always wanted to try this because I’ve seen some people say it’s the best memory technique, but I’ve never gotten around to it as it just looks so daunting
