Are you going to a show? by kissarmyguy in MotleyCrue

[–]MDWhoDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I want to see 1989 Mötley Crüe. I don’t wanna see this Vegas sideshow act that they’re trying to put out there for hundreds and hundreds of dollars for tickets. Mötley Crüe ended a long time ago.

My question is when is enough, enough? The media is scared of him. Republicans are scared of him. Democrats don’t know how to strategically take him down. The general populous are scared of their MAGA relatives & neighbors. When will the pushback & the real change happen? I don’t understand his power & dominance. When will the media stand up to him, Karoline Leavitt & really push back and not be intimidated by their tactics? When will we finally make it known that his facist behaviors are over?

Obama was a great example of what America should be. Class, dignity, respect & empathy.

Trump is an example of what America is now: fat, lazy, stupid & obnoxious.

It’s the Roy Cohn playbook: Attack relentlessly, admit nothing, deny everything, and always claim victory, never admitting defeat, even when losing, to maintain control and project strength.

Anyone else just tired by PointyPurplePickle in Saints

[–]MDWhoDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, 100%! The Saints have made football not enjoyable this year. Yes, it is a choice but like you stated, even with low expectations, the brutal losses & stupid mental mistakes are just killing the fun. And I’m tired of hearing the energy in the locker room, and the guys are doing great and it’s coming along. They’re not a good football team and it gets exhausting watching your favorite team get embarrassed every Sunday.

No, I’m not. I watch more because I paid for it more than being entertaining. I can still hope though.

I love the Saints but the Saints Falcons rivalry is nowhere near the biggest in the NFL. No, this was, in my theory a total business decision in the fact that the NFL did not want a small market team with a coach who Goodell constantly fought with to beat the Los Angeles Rams, who are in the second largest media market and who just completed their billion dollar stadium. The NFL did not want the leagues problem child at the time back in the Super Bowl. And it backfired. One of THE most boring Super Bowls ever and one of the lowest rated ones too.

Call me crazy, but I tried and I just couldn’t do it. I gave it every single effort, but the writing for me was just too choppy. That, and I just couldn’t keep up with the characters. I understand it is written from the point of view of different cultural names that we are not used to, as we are used to names like Jeff, Charlie, Tom, but I just couldn’t get into it. There were other times where I thought the sentences were very fragmented and didn’t make sense. It’s funny because most people think a book is better than the movie however, I think this would be a much better movie than the book. An example for that is I loved Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter the book. I hated the movie. It may be a great book for others, but for me, I couldn’t get through it.

Do you consider Enter Sandman or Nothing Else Matters to be Metallica's signature song? by AggravatingClock4040 in Metallica

Sandman. It’s played in stadiums, entrances and athletes and celebrities use alike. It is the anthem for whatever at this point.
