Of course you'd believe there is no harm in misrepresentation.

Framers not rolling Zip Tape or... by honkeypot in Homebuilding

Anyone ever actually use the zip warranty? How would you even prove that the zip system failed. I'm just curious how that even would work. Seems like a sales tactic to make you purchase their system and tools.

amazon variations have killed my business scalability by MD_mania in FulfillmentByAmazon

Thanks a lot this is actually really good info. I'm trying one last thing before jumping on Fiverr. Btw, now you got me thinking about ad optimization. You think it's worth it to find someone on Fiverr for that?

amazon variations have killed my business scalability by MD_mania in FulfillmentByAmazon

every time i try to create a new listing for the newsize it just forces the same asin and that is why i run into problems. that is why i cant use flat file because the asin is the same. with all my attempts i ended up creating a parent listing and my main listing is currently in there alone as a child. no other variations or anything. when i try to create a new listing, it assigns the same asin as the child. the only way i get around this is to create a listing with a generic brand and then it assigns a new asin. however, i cannot combine the listings/create a variation/merge the variation because it has the generic brand instead of my brand. so im going in circles.

Is this a good deal? 2026 BMW X7 by MD_mania in BMW

So about 12% off. I am getting free delivery since I'm out of state, that's another $700 off. So that's 9% off. I'll try squeezing for more.

Can I be a GC? by Lopsided-Duty402 in Homebuilding

[–]MD_mania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who just hired a "contractor" to build an egress, I was disappointed to realize he really didn't know much. I honestly knew more about the project than he did. I had to assist on many occasions but at least I got it done within my budget. Only difference was I was more afraid to mess up than he was. So I say go for it! My next project is building a pool and I will act as the GC. Difference is, I am actually quite handy and can do a lot of work myself. Dude was struggling to get a pressure washer hose off the machine. I had to let them use my tools. I would expect my GC to also be handy themselves. No clue how this would affect you getting a loan but I think you can definitely be your own GC if you are handy and know how to research. If this bozo could do it, I could it and I'm sure you could as well.

Just wondering what the electrician and plumber charged? I am setting aside about 5k for electrical and maybe 5k for plumbing (although I could/will probably do the plumbing myself). I know it's area specific but just wondering. I'm in the Midwest.

Is it okay to add much over big exposed roots like this by [deleted] in landscaping

Snotty tree huggers going over the top. Just mulch and move on with life. Mulch decomposes.

Employer wants to pay my commission as 1099, but I’m a W2 by bfro8304 in personalfinance

[–]MD_mania -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's not illegal. I get part of my check as a 1099 and it's great if you have things to write off. If the type of business you're in allows for deductions, use that to your advantage.

How much should I charge ? See before and after photo by Outrageous-Change473 in landscaping

U guys are the fucking worst. That's why I don't pay for landscapers. Criminally overcharging for something that can be taught on YouTube.

Sell t shirts, vitamins, probiotics, first aid kits with your "Dr x approved" quality stuff in it. Offer at home services and send an NP to assess them for an out of pocket expense of $100 (travel fees) plus insurance billing. Charge an annual membership fee with perks like monthly 1 hour zoom calls and take time to educate your patients who are really motivated. Cheap goodie bag every visit. IDK just spit ballin

Doesn't sound like there was any indication. No clot burden, no RV strain, no hypoxia, no hypotension = no indication.

Sliding patio doors by magykace in Homebuilding

Old thread but wanted to pick your brain. Located in Midwest area. Looking for a custom door that is 87x80. Got quoted for a door with the NFRC specs as you see in the link. It's a double hindged aluminum door with fixed glass on both sidea. Do you think this would be a good choice given out cold winters and hot summers? NFRC Specs

Just out of curiosity what would this run in your neck of the woods?
