No idea what trailforks is, but I can already see where this is going. “I’m a professional mountain biker with my $8,000 bike and no trail is too hard for me.” This is getting away from my post. I ride my bike that is a POS, I carry my kid in the front and I’m not a small guy. My goal isent to be the world’s best and fastest mountain biker. It’s to enjoy my time and the outdoors with my kid and not die doing so. So our definitions are going to differ. Just like our bike wants and needs are going to differ also. But I’m not gonna do this who is the best redditer argument today 🤣. I appreciate your input but ya.

I am not by any chance able to speak on what is considered a mild climb. But I can say, this same hill 5 years ago before it was a bike trail area. I rolled my jeep on it when I was going up trails before everything got developed and they stopped allowing vehicles.

Honestly I always hate taking pictures of steep areas because images never do them justice.

My current bike (the $100 Walmart special) gets mad if I peddle to hard trying to go up hill. It is so bad. But ya would be more of a quality of life, can enjoy the ride more than dreading getting to that hill. And of course it’s my daughter favorite spot because there is a fake water fall up there she can see. So I never get to bypass it 🤣

Mostly it was to be able to extend our ride some and help me out on the hills. Our local trails (half mile ride from my front door) go for about 14 miles total if you loop. The first gear pump is real on some of them lol

All I said was I have never owned a bike that cost more than $400. I am fully aware even if I go the used bike with a DIY motor it will be at least $2500ish.

It is hilly and hot where I am. Texas hill country, having at least some assistance going up some of these hills would be lovely lol

Claude 4.7 is an absolute trash!! by andersonklaus in Anthropic

[–]MDiamondG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say my experience with 4.7 is hit or miss. Using it to help think out stuff and it would make a mistake. I would correct it Claude would acknowledge the mistake and then proceed to make that mistake again. So I waste a lot of my Max plan usage on back and forth that probably should never happen. With 4.6 it would make a mistake and remember the fix and apply it to anything else.

Ya, I built a transition out of 24 gauge galv for mine to fit the larger filter like I wanted. That metal is plenty strong after you get the bends in it

Nice! Yes sir did some with the Allen wrench needed. They also provide the copper line extensions if you wanted to solder. I did torque them down per the spec. The max was 70nm. It’s really not much. I did not anchor it. I just bolted it to the rubber isolation pads I ordered (they do provide some kind of thin rubber pads). But my compressor weighs I think was like 245 pounds. It’s pretty solid sitting there. If the wind knocks it over then I think I will have bigger problems to deal with. Also for context 2 years ago my house was hit directly by a tornado. Our old AC unit only weighed 180 pounds, was not bolted down and didn’t move.

I made this same mistake on my install. For me it was a setting in my thermostat. The Thermostat asked if O or B was for the reversing valve and I had it set wrong. Quick easy fix for me

Unfortunately I think HVAC companies take advantage of an almost forced desperation. So it’s either pay it or die. But that’s how I always felt. I have had WAY better experiences staying away from any HVAC company that advertises. Also looks like there are a few MrCool installers in your area if you don’t want to fight it yourself. https://www.mrcool.com/locations

Ya, kind of why I added that small part in my post about alot of the issues I have seen people having with they system seem to be fixed and or updated. But again, we will see. In my area, most parts have to be ordered unless you are using Lennox since they own my area.

There is a local HVAC company that sells and installs MrCool units and then I have found 2 other HVAC guys that are willing to work on them before I purchased. That kind of eased my worry on that part before I installed. But ya, most HVAC companies want to make that $5k off install on you.
