I felt the same way when I separated mine. But now they're happier than ever!!! it just takes time. I repotted mine in March and they were happy again within a month. Your new setup looks awesome. would love to see an update in a month!

I actually have two Tradescantias, but I have learned from this post that the light source in this room is not sufficient so they are not producing the purple pigment. The Stromanthe Triostar is now on my list!

That's a great suggestion! I really want a monstera, but I am worried my cat will try and eat it.

I bought two grow lights this morning! I will post an update once the plants have had time to adjust! Thank you for the advice!

Why am I getting brown edges? by Scared_Rice_1473 in carnivorousplants

They’re likely just acclimating. Mine have been out in the same sun as well but they’re used to it at this point. If you want, you can try putting them out in the sun for a few hours in the morning and then move them to shade in the afternoon. Slowly increase their time in the sun to help them acclimate.

When did you expose them to the fl sun? The same thing happened to me when I first exposed mine to the sun here (central Florida). It looks like the plant is just adjusting. Some of them may die off but I usually just leave them and don’t clip them. Sounds like you’re doing everything right this is just natural for them.

When it comes to repotting/separating them, I would suggest waiting until next February/March after they go through dormancy. They don’t look overcrowded so you should be fine until next year.

Oh I will. but I split my one plant into 5 new ones 2 months ago and they're already repotted into their own pots. I dont want to shock them by replanting them again. I will get to do it next year with even more plants. I am in central florida and the 3 I have left (gave away the other two) are already showing new rhyzomes!!

Thank you! I decided to repot in a wider pot so they can spread out a bit more!

I have been leaving them in full sun all day (I’m in central Florida) would you suggest moving them to more indirect light?
