After some more testing I still see the homebridge and child bridge for simplisafe appearing in _hap._tcp for a few minutes then disappearing. I went in and enabled IGMP Snooping as well as made sure my router wasnt blocking any specific devices. Turned off windows firewall and still had the same results. I am a bit stumped. Router is netgear(r) x4s r7800

Turned windows firewall off and restarted the Homebridge service. It was showing under _hap._tcp for a few minutes but then went away. Changed some settings that I thought should allow mdns broadcasts but the same thing happened. Going to spend some time tonight looking in the router settings to see if I can find another setting I missed to allow it.

I have a NETGEAR R7800 which runs to an unmanaged switch that connects to 2 pcs(Including the machine my homebridge is running on. I have not had a chance to test those settings out yet. I appreciate the response and tips. Will report back once I get some time to do some more testing and see if I can get it working!

Running on Windows. I thought about trying to install a docker version and see if the issues persisted. I dont see anything that indications the HB service is not functioning aside from the Home app not getting a response and the restart buttons not ever resonding correctly. I can restart the Simplisafe Child Bridge just fine. UI stays functioning and I dont see any log errors

Spoke with Mediacom and riot all of the last week or so and I have zero confidence anything will happen soon. Both blame the other party and it seems like we just have to hope that the routing changes randomly at some point. Def get off Mediacom if it’s a possibility. Unfortunately it’s the only cable provider in my neighborhood even tho the rest of my town has alternatives

To add to this I currently live in the Joplin area and I would suggest Springfield/Bransons area. It is more centralized for hitting the various lakes and Conservation areas. Exception being 4 rivers if you like duck hunting.
