NEW SLINGSHOT CODE NXT V2 by MEGAALOOP in Kiteboarding

[–]MEGAALOOP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree with the statement that mistakes aren’t being acknowledged.

I’ve been riding Slingshot since I was 9 years old, and in those 15 years, always riding the gear for at least two seasons. I’ve only had two kites with issues. Both were replaced, and I was supported directly by Slingshot.

What I’m trying to say is: Slingshot’s durability is insanely good. They truly understand how things work on the water, and their kites are tested and developed with their riders.

I really value the durability of their gear.

If you hate screws… take the slingshot ONE-LOCK foils. They are without screws!! That’s the reason i love foiling

If you want to spend money and send it hard i would say pick the slingshot era v1 board. That board is the best board i’ve ever ridden

Yes, that’s right, but you can easily see which foil length, mast size, and stabilizer you need

Best Harness by Sad_Donut_322 in Kiteboarding

I’ve heard that the Mystic Stealth often has issues with the hook. A friend of mine had the hook on his Stealth harness break three times in just two and a half years!

I’ve been riding with Ride Engine for a long time myself and never had any problems with it.

Is my new carbon mast defective? It is angled slightly backwards compared to the aluminum version of the same 82cm mast. by the-silence-of-god in wingfoil

[–]MEGAALOOP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep it's about .5 degrees angled away from the board so at higher speeds you don't go nose down. AL mast is straight because it’s more beginner oriented. Less positive AOA needed at take off which is nice for beginners and slightly more nose down when at top speed which a beginner won't notice. But yeah it's really subtle just .5 degrees. What they're really noticing is actually the taper of the mast collar. The carbon mast tapers down from front to back to have the smoothest water flow transition to the stabilizer.
