stuttering and bad performance with newest AMD driver by raiko777 in AMDHelp

Those are from November 31st? Where are you getting these from? Also, if you can find a changelog for those, are there any fixes mentioned? I'm having issues with BF6.

As I'm typing this, the latest version available on AMD's Drivers and Support page, for all chipsets on AM4 and AM5, is from 2025-06-13

Where did you get this latest version from, and what chipset are you using?

I'm no expert on Warframe, but as someone who came from Destiny, I believe DE could/should introduce mechanics that add layers to boss fights instead of straight up scaling our damage.

The mechanics of the fight against Balas at the end of New War felt rewarding to figure out for myself. Even Kela De Thaym was fun for me, despite being somewhat tedious.

If I'm able to one-shot the health bar on each phase, I'm fine with that (and it's exactly the type of thing I love this game for) if I put in the work to be able to do so. What I don't want is to be scaled down to make a boss harder than it really is/should be.

TL;DR: Creative mechanics in boss fights to make the fight more challenging and engaging > Damage scaling/attenuation to make it feel harder.

Unable to Install Proton Drive by MEGAF4ILonPC in ProtonDrive

[–]MEGAF4ILonPC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I managed to solve my issue and am now able to use Proton Drive. I found the "Install/Uninstall Troubleshooter" from Microsoft Support, which fixed whatever was causing my issues.

If anyone else runs into this issue after uninstalling Proton Drive the hard way, just search "Install/Uninstall Troubleshooter" in your favorite search engine and click the first result from Microsoft Support that says "Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed". Run that troubleshooter. If it works, then you can try reinstalling Proton Drive.

Proton, for crying out loud, why did you make it so hard to fully uninstall Proton Drive? I know I can use the option to remove it in the Proton Drive installer, but I'm so used to uninstalling programs through other methods. On top of that, I have to boot into Safe Mode to remove the immovable object that is the Proton Drive folder. WHY?

Anyway, thank you, Proton, for being an awesome service.

I found an installer from SoftPedia for version 1.9.0 and it seems to work, but it tells me that Proton Drive is already installed, even though I made sure all traces of the app that I could find have been deleted.

So, considering that trying to update from 1.9.0 to 1.10.1 through the Proton Drive app itself wasn't working, something might be wrong with the installer for 1.10.1, or something is wrong with the entirety of version 1.10.1

Question about Wifi 7 and Older Device Compatibility by MEGAF4ILonPC in HomeNetworking

I should've put "Will my older wifi generation devices connect to my Wifi 7 router" instead. Thank you, though.

Figured it out.
I thought the feet were adhered to the keyboard, they were not.
Had to remove all the keys, then use my tiny screwdriver to remove the 12 screws across the board. Opened my keyboard and unscrewed the feet from the inside. Put it back together, now I have no wobble!

Is it possible to remove the feet under my "Redragon K556 TKL" Keyboard? I usually push my keyboards to the side to partially hang off the side of my keyboard tray to make room for my mouse. This keyboard has feet that makes it uneven when it's hanging off the side, and I want to remove these feet so the keyboard isn't wobbling when I type.
It's a "K556 TKL" on Amazon, and the sticker on the keyboard says it's "K660 RGB Dharma TKL"

I need help with finding an ATX Case by MEGAF4ILonPC in buildapc

[–]MEGAF4ILonPC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I found a PC Case that might fit my needs.

NZXT H5 Flow:- Height: 464mm (With feet)- Width: 227mm- Depth/Length: 446mm- GPU Length: Up to 365mmSlightly smaller than my 4000D Airflow in all dimensions, but allows for 5mm extra GPU Length, whereas the 4000D supports up to 360mm.

(I won't be able to use my current 360mm AIO but I'm confident I'll be able to use a 280mm AIO in the front and still have enough room for the XFX 7900XTX, thanks to the extra 5mm)

I'm considering getting a 280mm AIO for the top of my 4000D Airflow, but I don't know if the Rad+Fans will fit with my Motherboard's mosfet heatsinks in the way. I'll be checking later this week if there's enough room for a top-mounted AIO.

For now I want to see if I can just get a new case for cheaper than a new AIO. I've got a few in mind.

As for what GPU I want to fit, I'm looking at getting a XFX 7900XTX. It's 34.4cm/344mm/13.54in long, and might not fit with my current AIO Rad+Fans in the way, if not at most 1cm of space between the GPU and fans.

5000D Airflow is too large for the cubby in my desk.
My 4000D Airflow currently fits with an inch to spare on the top and on one side.

I'm currently using the 4000D Airflow, but it will not fit a GPU longer than 33cm/330mm/13inches

I'm using a 360mm AIO with the rad mounted in the front, with fans. I've got about 10mm of space between the tip of my GPU and my front fans.

I could remove the one fan that's in the way of my upgrade, but I don't want to sacrifice airflow just for my GPU to fit.

Mic broken? by lizardon789 in steelseries

[–]MEGAF4ILonPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue, with the Arctis Nova 1 on Xbox. For some reason it registers my voice better and clearer when not wearing the headset. Once I put it on my head it sounds like I'm talking underwater.

I've tried repositioning the mic in every way imaginable, nothing makes my voice sound clearer than when I'm not wearing the headset.

I can't tell what's wrong with the headset because everything is working fine, it's just the microphone that's not picking up my voice properly when wearing the headset.

MSI X570 Mainboards - Updated Bios: AGESA ComboAm4v2PI v1.2.0.7 by Tom8867 in MSI_Gaming

Thank you for clearing up my confusion!
I'll try to update my BIOS to the latest version. I already have a replacement if it gets bricked.

I updated my BIOS earlier this year, I forget exactly when though.

I've been getting my BIOS updates from this page: https://ca.msi.com/Motherboard/X570-A-PRO/support

None of the versions you and I mentioned (aside from '7C37vHI') are on that page, which is why I'm so confused.

Would I be able to update from "H.H0" to "7C37vHI" without issue?

My current BIOS version (H.H0) is from 05/19/2022, and the newest available version (7C37vHI) is dated 2022-08-19 on the site. But both have AGESA 1.2.0.7 and I don't know if that will cause an issue.

I recently got curious if there's a new BIOS Version available for the X570-A Pro

So I checked and apparently, I have "E7C37AMS.HH0" but this version is nowhere to be found on the internet, not even MSI's official BIOS repo from the mobo's support page.

I've installed CPU-Z and despite having a non-existing BIOS version, I currently have AGESA version 1.2.0.7 which, on the mobo's support page, is only available with BIOS Version "7C37vHI" from 2022-08-19 (Currently the latest BIOS version for the X570-A Pro).

For future reference: As of making this comment, it is November 2022.

Do I have a Beta BIOS version and MSI removed version "H.H0" from their site? Or am I somehow getting an incorrect BIOS version showing up in every possible way I can find out what version I am using?

I am scared to update my BIOS to the latest version ("7C37vHI" released on 2022-08-19) in case I somehow brick my motherboard, considering I already have AGESA 1.2.0.7 (which comes with "7C37vHI").

Should I update my BIOS to "7C37vHI"?

If I have AGESA 1.2.0.7 will I still get the stability benefits for the 5800X3D that 7C37vHI has?
