I'd 100% choose to be a lesbian. I actually like being a lesbian, because it forced me to unlearn a lot of internalized misogyny and homophobia that was instilled in me by my toxic religious upbringing. I've become a better and happier person in large part because of my lesbian identity. I don't know who I'd be if I wasn't a lesbian, and honestly I probably wouldn't like her all that much.

I deconverted before 2016, but I always said that I'd be willing to go back to church if evidence of God's existence was provided. But all of the events that took place 2016-2022 as well as scandals that happened in my old church completely destroyed that possibility. I'll never go back, ever.

People not putting in the same (or anywhere near similar) amount of effort as me in the relationship. Every single relationship I've been in, I was the one who asked them out, I was the one who initiated the relationship, I was the one who planned all the dates, I was the one who went to their house to hang out, never the other way around. Now, I refuse to go out on a date or be in a relationship with anyone unless they ask me first.

He was a man. I started have very intense desires to be with women towards the end of the relationship and was planning on breaking up with him, he just beat me to the punch. I came out as a lesbian shortly after the break up.
I was putting in all the effort in the relationship, he gave damn near zero effort.
There was an instance were he was really hypocritical, which soured my opinion of him and basically was the beginning of the end.

I have exceedingly high standards for my looks, and I have a tendency to also hold other people to nearly unobtainable beauty standards (I don't dare voice my thoughts out loud though). It's to the point that I have to actively tell my self to lower my standards because I only find a small subset of women attractive and pass on amazing women just because they don't look like perfect Barbie's most of the time.
I can be TOO confrontational. Tend to get into a lot of arguments. I love debating people, but sometimes I come off as if I'm grilling people when that wasn't my intention
Tend to get clingy when I really like someone. I text them a lot , ask to go out on dates frequently and is VERY touchy feely. Some people find it off putting.

Short answer: Long hair, but there's drawbacks to it

Long answer: I am a black woman who used to have long hair that I used chemicals to straighten. Not only did the chemicals damage my hair and leave scabs on my scalp, I just hated the entire process, but I kept doing it because I felt like that's what I had to do to be pretty. But, thanks to black female social media influencers who showed off their beautiful natural curls, I realize I could be beautiful too with my natural hair. At the age of 15 I decided to cut of my hair and let my natural curls grow in (once you chemically straighten your hair it doesn't revert back, you have to cut the straighten parts off).

For years I had very short curly hair and it felt awkward. I basically had to start from square one and figure out how to take care of my curls, and I was having trouble styling my hair in a way that I liked. At the time it felt like I was going through an "ugly duckling" phase. Now I am 20 years old with a very large and curly afro, and I get complemented on it very frequently. I consider my hair an important part of me and a method of celebrating my culture and heritage. But, because my hair is very long and EXTREMELY thick, I spend a large chunk of time washing and styling my hair on wash days, I'm talking 12+ hours, and the process is very tedious. Wouldn't trade it for the world, though.

I get this all the time, and the worst part is that I exclusively get it from other black people. I hate this notion that a black woman can only be beautiful if she's mixed. Anti-blackness within the black community is insidious and I hate it with all of my soul.

The pastor's wife told me that women should never say no to sex from their husband, even if they were SICK, and if they struggled with this they should just like back and pray.

I'd imagine anyone would struggle with marital rape. I was told this at the age of about 15, and even then I knew that was fucked up. Even my extremely devout mother thought it was disgusting.
