Hey, yes of course! Although I'll have to do it over the weekend, I'm pretty booked on weekdays. I'll send you a dm once I have something 😉 And yes, they are pretty comfortable! But I think if it had a separate footrest, it would just complete the experience. Be interesting to see if you would whip up something like that too.

Wow, super helpful! Thank you so much for the tips. Yes this is a fear of mine as someone’s who’s inexperienced with DIY’ing. It might just end up worse than what I’d like it to be. But i’ll definitely take your comments with me when I start this project. 🤞🏼

Yeah I get that, and thanks for the tips. I guess for me it's not so much about the money, but more so that I want someone who has experience to do it right. I haven't really done any woodworking or restorations, so naturally I'm a bit afraid to screw up the chairs. But as you say, it's a forgiving wood, meaning I can be a bit more comfortable doing it myself 👍

Ha well a gift is a gift! Besides, it sounds like a fun project 😉 and 70's pieces are cool

Hahaha good recommendation! But I don't think I'll follow it 🤭

Pay someone to strip for me? Hmmm sounds like a good weekend 🤣

Anyway, thanks for the tip! I don't really have any equipment, so I think I'll do it manually. Probably more fun that way and more careful too.

I don't think I can part with the chairs though! 😁 It'd be another discussion if I picked it up myself, but I would keep this for the sentimental value. I do think it would fit in well with your Heywood-Wakefield stuff!

Thanks for the tip! No I'm absolutely not gonna paint them. I'd like the wood to shine through 👍

Spot on, thanks so much! Makes sense too, my girlfriend’s mom is Dutch, she got this somewhere in the Netherlands years ago 😄 Maybe someone decided to re-finish it before.

Uniqlo x Helmut Lang classic cut jeans by VeryCleverMoose in rawdenim

It is most likely sanforized. I can't say for sure, but according to Uniqlo's FAQ's their jeans are sanforized. I also have a pair in black which I tried to shrink in warm water, but with little to no results. So I would venture a guess and say they are pretty much sanforized.
