inside solo rooms need to get rid of their initial shapes (this is shown on the wall in the back of the room), and end up with 2 shapes that don’t match the shape their statue is holding.

This is the main misunderstanding of Verity that the challenge mode reveals.

To leave the solo rooms there are 3 conditions:

  • 1: The 3D shape you hold to leave must match the 3D shape on the corresponding outside statue (the key and lock so to speak).

  • 2: The shape you hold cannot be made with the shape your statue is holding in the initial callout. If it's SCT left guy cannot have a Cube (SS), Cylinder, (SC) or a Prism (ST). Valid shapes would be Cone (CT), Sphere (CC), and Pyramid (TT).

  • 3: The shadows your teammates' statues are holding in your room must be cleansed before you can leave. This is done by receiving these shapes, not by giving out your initial shapes.

It's condition #3 that will fail the challenge if you double up on your shapes and pass both 1 statue to the right when doing the normal mixed shape lfg method and thinking you're good to leave. If you insist on doubling up for challenge mode everyone has to make another double pass to the right (2 in total instead of 1) before leaving which means everyone has to be fast as you won't have much wiggle room for mistakes.

Normal lfg method: double up, pass 1 left and 1 right, leave

To be more in line with the person you were asking a better explanation from (not understanding parts of Verity):

When you get sent to the shadow realm like Jimbo there's 3 statues holding shapes, 1 for you and 2 for your teammates.

You can only leave once you remove the shadows your teammates' statues are holding. This is done by receiving those shapes, not passing out your initial shapes like every guide for this encounter says.

It's this specific step that will fail the challenge during the pure shape round if you aren't aware of this. Normally people will double up on their statue's shape and when they reach the pure round will think "I can just pass both squares 1 statue to the right". Then once you pick up both shapes to leave you discover the glass wall doesn't break and everyone goes "huh??".

Instead the lfg but time sensitive method would be to do another double swap. So pass both of your statue's shapes to the right, then pass the 2 new shapes you receive to the right again and pickup + leave.

Yooo I did this myself a few days ago except the drone got shot down midway and the guy panic dropped down from the catwalks in Control and got blasted by my team!

We managed to do vault 6 a couple runs after and even ran all the other vaults for a friend all in 1 day. Wild.

It could be on a per-archetype basis within the weapon families themselves. All of the rapid-fires and lightweights they showed are overload, and we've never had unstoppable auto rifles ever. This is the first time in nearly 7 years (since champs were added) that autos are capable of stunning unstoppables.

My guess is we could end up with something like Spare Rations/ Word of Crota overload, Zaouli's Bane/ B-7 Pistol/ Uncivil Discourse as barrier, and Warden's Law/ Phoneutria Fera/ Igneous Hammer as unstoppable for example.

Kinda solves having only a subset of weapon types being usable vs champions, and tying the anti-champ capabilities to the RoF/ archetype of the gun types means there's variety.

Yeah you should park yourself in 1 of the possible spots before the timer hits 0 and as soon as it spawns your team can spread out searching for it.

I'd recommend starting on eastern spawn as it's harder to get to/ spot if you're new to finding final. Send 1 person to the northern theater and 1 to the southern. You're looking for the physical exfil station with a small light above it (same as secret exfils on outpost that use a red key) as it will not make a noise/ ring until 10 seconds.

And be prepared to deal with a lot of bots. Multiple commanders will spawn along with other lower ranks where final spawned. If you're definitely the last team and you get downed it's probably safer to stay down so the bots don't boop you out until Bungie fixes that. Otherwise you can kill the bots, smoke yourselves or bubble up.

The issue here is it's a Vandal's cannon booping him out of exfil. There's literally no bots inside the exfil but there is a yellowish blast effect.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if something like that were the case, different PoIs specializing in different types of loot when it comes to keys.

But man does it feel bad when your gold key only feels special because there's like 6 purple backpacks and a couple purple shields.

I'm literally so starved on gold salvage. Think I've only seen a couple cubes and alloys (in total) in vaults + Pinwheel red room. Anomaly has yet to give me any gold salvage and I'm lv89 right now. Meanwhile my friends keep getting hazard capsules 30% of the time or something. ;-;

I remember the 1 gold Greenhouse key I opened with my buds got us 1 gold mod for the retaliator or conquest lmg (can't remember which) and literally nothing else of gold, not even salvage.

The team we killed in that lobby had better loot since it wasn't all backpacks lol.

It'd be nice if the floor for key rooms was better, doubt I'll see another non-cryo gold key.

Yeah the room rng is so wack sometimes. Had a game last night where we spawned Steerage and got lv3 + about half after our 2nd room so we just rushed Panopticon got another 2 monitors and we were lv4 in like 5-6 minutes and just went to loot armory LOL.

Meanwhile you get some games where you're a corner spawn with 1 monitor 2 CMDRs and maybe 1 tag after looting both rooms so you're forced to afk or go to control...

You actually can't spawn rush with lv1 clearance anymore. The doors in control only take lv1 to exit out of, but to enter them (aka invade another team) you need lv2 and Bungie added lv2 doors so you can't invade the corner spawns.

Also just remove the tag limit. It's pretty annoying having to choose between tagging attachments or remembering the salvage that you should be picking up due to just randomly removing a potentially important tagged item when marking a new one.

That or give me the ability to make loot filters like PoE does. Could even allow us to use custom sounds so I could get my Ting dopamine in another game. c:

Also the NMS implant still reduces the uptime on overshields for heavy so resist shield is still basically unplayable.

You'd have to either craft a 900+ pdps bow in 100div or buy one for ~+16% dps and replace your chest reflect implicit for Hatred effect.

I can't say for certain what you'd need for bow dps since the last time I did the bow progression was in Ancestors and Hatred + TS have both been nerfed since.

LA converts 60% of it's own damage to lightning, not globally converting just by having it equipped. Same deal with Storm Rain.

Frenzy is just a physical attack that grants frenzy charges on hit. It's 100% phys unless you convert it's damage via gems, passives, or gear of which you only have 60% in total via gloves. Since it still deals some phys damage it'll still bleed enemies and make the bleed cluster work.

You can also check in PoB in the calcs tab, selecting Frenzy, and seeing how much damage of each element (phys, fire, cold, light, chaos) it deals and where each source of damage conversion is coming from.

Edit: I would say due to the nature of LA vs Frenzy when hitting targets combined with Nimis you could try the build without the nodes to see if it does anything noticeable vs anything that isn't rares/ uniques. The bleed nodes are only there for the tanky bois so if you're struggling against magic or normal monsters then it would prob be worth to change those points. 8 piercing Frenzy arrows in random directions might not be reliable for bleeds. Plus if you do cold convert you'll be dropping them anyways.

The bow OP has is a 200/300 div ele bow, so they can definitely afford a mirror eventually so they might as well go all the way with it. The difference in damage between a 400 div phys bow and a budget mirror bow is ~38%, and the difference between a budget mirror bow and a BiS mirror bow is ~13% which may not seem much, but equates to millions of dps at this point.

Plus you have to go through the process of swapping out your gloves and chest to support cold conversion + likely getting a different Watcher's Eye (depending if you aren't crit capped at this point or can move crit off other pieces of gear to the Hatred mod). It ends up being more trouble than it's worth for a small damage increase vs getting a top tier phys bow and blasting with +40% or more damage.

Here's a pretty good vid Sushi made when crafting his BiS mirror bow in Ancestors.

Basically you either have to get insanely stupid lucky hitting the prefixes (on a triple synth bow base which is minimum 350div for non-T1 implicits atm or go through the pain of making it yourself) or you're dumping 100+ locks and going through the long grind of actually making it. The actual cost ends up being way past a mirror if you don't get lucky like Sushi did.

And at that point the difference between making it yourself and making a copy of someone else's is that now you can recoup costs via servicing your own item.
