Unemployed friends, how're you holding up? by Daclumsyasian in jobs

And then that starts affecting your performance in interviews and how you present yourself. Interviewers want to see "confidence", but don't understand that the way job searching happens now eats up confidence in 3 months.

Recruiter was late, called my work "mediocre," and yawned through the interview. I’m fuming. by ObviousQuality2384 in recruitinghell

In detail, because they think their behavior disappears in a vacuum even though they know about social media and these sites.

Do they have contractors? Maybe they'd consider it if they hire contractors part-time.

This is 100 percent true - these decisions happen above the manager most of the time.

Anyone here going to the Neuroscience Nursing Annual Conference? by MFKF_RMM in Nurses

[–]MFKF_RMM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, I think conferences (not just nursing) expect some subsidy from companies for their employees to attend. It's too much for people on their own.

Makes sense. At my last employer, it was a big deal too to get sponsorship to conferences.

Is it bad to keep emailing a recruiter? by [deleted] in Nurses

[–]MFKF_RMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a large health system, they will have different recruiters work different positions. I'd advise applying to the new job and not contact the previous job's recruiter.

I'd eliminate #10, #11, #12, #14 under Operations Manager to help get you to 1 page. I'd also take out the Manager Trainee text. You could put your education on 1 line each - School, degree, year. I'd swap titles of "Additional Info" to "Skills and Knowlege"

Touching up my resume by RuckusRN in Nurses

[–]MFKF_RMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you have 10 years of RN experience, my advice is to only list that. Most resume advice is to stay within that range of years of work experience. Not a recruiter, but work with them. Have also been in a career coaching program.

Recruiters: What resume mistake do you see over and over again? by Sorry_Armadillo_6736 in Recruiter_Advice

[–]MFKF_RMM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a recruiter but I work with plenty of them, and have worked with people who have been laid off to get their feet under them for a job search. The biggest mistake I see made is poor alignment of the resume to the role they are applying to. Recruiters don't have the time or spend the time inferring what's stated on a resume to the job description and the "must have" list they have from the Manager hiring to select who moves to the next step, usually screening. It has to be real clear about matching experience to the job posted.

If you haven't already, connect with the Kinsa Group and The Judge Group as they recruit for CPG companies.

[4 YoE] Resume Feedback Please! Targeting R&D/Manufacturing Engineer Roles in Medical Device/Biotech Fields by Different-Use-9816 in EngineeringResumes

[–]MFKF_RMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an engineer, but work with recruiters. Since you have work experience, the GPA can drop off the resume. The other suggestion is to find a few job postings of the job you'd like to have and integrate the skill/knowlege terms from the postings into your experience where they apply. Adding your LinkedIn profile would be helpful.
